Every normal HUMAN individual should have a similar mindset ...but i guess it just goes to show that We all have been miss-educated to some degree

      Tommy Thompson the privilege of not being followed around a store because you are assumed to not be able to pay for things inside the store. The privilege not to be seen as someone who is probably poor or lives in the hood or have a criminal record or being in a stolen car just because of race. The privilege of not being stopped and asked if you are a legal citizen just because you can speak a different language. The privilege of seeing yourself represented as the majority in congress, the house of representatives, state senate, as governors. The privilege of not having to have a section on movie/tv platforms saying “White stories” and “representation matters”.
      The privilege of being able to call the police and not have to think “wait, what if the police turn on me and i get arrested”. The privilege of being taught the history of people who look like you from K-12, while black people have to learn about our contributions to modern america through our own research. The privilege of being able to storm government buildings with guns and scream in the face of police officers without a single incident of tear gas, rubber or real bullets. The privilege of not being told to change your hair at work because it looks “unprofessional”. I could go on and on and on. Bottom line, listen to the stories of minorities and things that they have had to endure then ask yourself “has any of these things ever happened to me”.. if not why, if so.. was it directly because of your skin color. Hope this helps 😌.

      naa'im sharif I couldn’t tell you why you or anyone else should be... I myself am not in awe, in love, captivated nor going crazy over her. If I must assume, it may be due to the fact that she is one of the few white people who has dedicated her career to defining the human race as it is...the human race. Also, Idk if you saying “we as black people” is meant to separate us from her “race” or from her experiences or from her work. But maybe my original statement answers your question...not to mention her ground breaking exercises 🤷🏽‍♀️.

    • @kitcowool
      @kitcowool 4 роки тому

      naa'im sharif so you’re here looking for a debate or argument? My original statement has nothing to do with the problem you speak of. Maybe your replies would better fit another comment.

      naa'im sharif I hate you assume beef and my feelings about her as I never stated I feel any way about her. I simply made the observation that she doesn’t do word play. And a few possible reasons to your question.
      Be careful with that as it completely takes away from your point, in which I absolutely agree.
      Peace to you.

    Man regarding the midwives and talking about the fact that black women don’t receive equal treatment in a delivery room I remember when my sis had my niece. The baby was born prematurely at 7 months. The docs tried to tell my sis that it was a stillbirth but my sis told them a bunch of times she saw the baby’s eyes open. They wanted to throw the baby out, but my sis had to tell the docs and her own family no. Fast forward to now my niece is 23 fully healthy and in the US Army. It had never occurred to me at the time that this wasn’t supposed to be like this cuz I was only 6 at the time and I didn’t hear abt this story til my niece was almost 13.

Came back to Va.. they acted like they didn t know ow what was happening as I had to walk down the street with one eye xlised.. HallelluYah .. I prayed,. Prayed n prayed some more.. I have both eyes open because I kept affirming that I was going to be alright.. the docs till now are kinda ambivalent. I know if so was white.. I WOULD HAVE BEEN taken more SERIOUSLY! She’s not saying whites are evil but she’s IMPLYING IT. That’s like a divorced person saying “my ex wasn’t a bad person but” and then they list all the bad traits. They won’t say it outright but they’ll imply it.

    I love that race itself and our perspective of it is coming to the front lines. I’m so grateful that Jane Elliott came fully loaded with info! Especially with books such as, the color of law. I also would like to recommend the book Powernomics... man so many jewels were dropped this episode! A note on the Christian killings, I have a thought that they probably separated people by skin color because of the rulership of the moors. And if you were of darker complexion, the general thought of that time, was that you were moorish which was of religious background of Islam, and were from most likely, prestigious, noble birth... which of course, was quite threatening to wannabe conquerors. Another great book as evidence based history is, the Jews and moors of Spain. This is where I’m getting my hypothesis...of course, there are more historical texts that will blow your mind on actual history.

    The sad part most racist call themselves Christians but apparently look over the part of the bible saying jesus or Yahshua had feet of brass.... i don't know any caucasian with natural copper colored feet so being racist & christian let's me know you can't study your bible or you don't truly believe in it or you just interpret it how you want to instead of interpreting it for truth.... even if u don't believe in the bible the ultimate goal in life should be the search of truth especially when there's evidence to support it heavily none of us where alive in the beginning so automatically believing someone who probably had a agenda as well a little older than u doesn't justify it either racism is taught point blank for one shade of people to feel superior over others it's that simple.....
