I’m always impressed when I see folks of true talent that aren’t also arrogant, full-of-themselves glory-mongers. There’s nothing more powerful that a true talent that is also humble, friendly, and down-to -earth. I’ve never seen Harry before today… but I LIKE him!
Love your pleasant demeanor. Here in Canada older homes had an oil fired space heater in the center of the house to provide warmth. An old friend of mine had a bass but couldn't afford an amplifier. He told me "Push it up against the space heater to hear it better". Same idea as your coffee can trick.
I was trying to remember an interview with a Hawaiian guitar player who said when they wanted to play guitar for their girlfriend from far away, they would connect the string from the guitar and there would be a needle on her end of the string, and somehow she was able to get the needle to vibrate and create the music, maybe she was dangling the needle over her own guitar strings? I don't remember how it was done, do you know? Lovely playing, by the way, so soulful!
+Lee Sugai Aloha Lee! Thank you for reaching out and making my day! I customized the guitar at Carvin guitars! Check them out! Where are you watching from?
Just starting out guitar in my 56 years of age from Kona! I love the sound hearing it in church but these musicians would not spend the time of day to teach anyone except their own kids. So I decided to learn from UA-cam but Slack Key is so special! Aloha and Mahalo!
+Stephen Hargreaves Aloha Stephen! I guess I'm a guitar nerd! Thank you for reaching out and I hope you have fun studying with my shows! Where are you watching from?
Thank you again punolino! I'm playing Raymond Kane's version of "Eastside-Westside" If you want to learn it, it is already on my channel! Where are you watching from? :)
Hi, i'm from switzerland. I have friends in Hawaii, but never been there.. only in tahiti. Maybe you should make Playlists for your videos, so the are better sorted on your Channel. at the moment i'm working on ku'u ipo onaona from led's DVD.. but i will soon try to learn some stuff from you... :)
Aloha, and Mahalo! These are the greatest lessons. I only wish I could've learned these as a back in the day at Maui High.I'm heading to big island in few weeks, and am really looking forward to being able to play this when I am out there.
Dude- I thought this was an actual lesson that you were going to teach something about guitar not do silly stuff and waste time and something that is absolutely nonsensical and no use to anyone as far as learning anything about the guitar also when you tie twine around your bridge and pull it tight you know you made the guitar All Out Of Tune out of whack. The guitar sounded SICK with your Tin Can tied to it....no offense- just telling you.
Dear luapsel77: You are the kind of person that ruins the internet. In this video we have a truly wonderful human being sharing a little bit of fun and joy, bringing a smile to people's faces--- and all you can say is "Dude- that's stupid!". Maybe someday you'll grow up, or even better, maybe someday you'll learn to appreciate and acknowledge the truly decent people on this planet (there just aren’t very many of them).

@@todwilliams4362 I WILL say THIS- I APPRECIATE ANYTIME someone TRIES to entertain or bring Joy...BUT, when you SAY you're giving a LESSON, AND TEACHING SOMETHING, IT NEEDS TO HAVE EDUCATIONAL VALUE, AS FAR AS MUSIC GOES!

Two of the tricks require two people. I think the needle trick sounds really cool! Must try.
