I usually prospect in creeks or ravines where the is old glacial gravels. Since I am on clay, the end moraine, to my west, the lake to my east, if you were coming up here to prospect, and had to preplan, where would you like to start? Just asking because I want to make sure I am not looking in the wrong areas. Jason please feel free to chime in. I just figure I would ask since you both were here. Always enjoy watching your channel. I have a suggestion for you. A mini hopper/feeder. Maybe a hopper feeder from a pellet bbq. Modified of course. But when youre running that spoonful at a time for hrs maybe a feeder you can control the speed of to dribble the concentrate onto the small sluice. Even sized up to run shovelfuls over the field sluices when your out in the bush and can use a gold cube or a regular sluice even.

Great vid! I was just out there for 4 days camping and sluicing. Beautiful park and the fact I can drive just under 2 hrs is great! Maybe someday we'll cross paths on Plum or Elm?? For my 3 full days on the river working from the north east bridge down to the over/underlook I did much better than expected with my miners moss/exp mesh AND dream mats. Thanks for a great vid!

Looking at the last shot on the microscope video, there are some well-defined squares in the plastic of the pan. Have you ever measured those squares? That'd be a nice bit of information (average gold grain size). I don't know WHY it'd be good info, but it feels like that could be helpful . It's nice that those grain look chunky... hopefully they don't float away as easy, if the water flow rate is turned up a bit.
Can you do a video or series on how much gold you can get in a year doing this. I know its a hobby for you and not full time but I would think with the current price of gold even an oz a year would be a nice little payback for something you really enjoy.

Looking at the last shot on the microscope video, there are some well-defined squares in the plastic of the pan.
Have you ever measured those squares?
That'd be a nice bit of information (average gold grain size).
I don't know WHY it'd be good info, but it feels like that could be helpful .
It's nice that those grain look chunky... hopefully they don't float away as easy, if the water flow rate is turned up a bit.
