A pile of work. But the laughter was worth it seeing it do domuts. Keep after it. If it was easy everyone would do it. Only a handful are crazy enough to pull all nighters and work till your blind.
Great job, this car is so cool, love it. Have fun, be safe, can't wait to see her rippin down the track. A hero of mine once said "the harder you work, the luckier you get" and I totally believe it. You guys know how to get stuck in so I'm thinking good times ahead.
Looks awesome!!! The drag and drive events are very challenging but the most fun that can be had with a car at the same time. Good luck 👍 in your adventures!!
D & D, Dan, she sounds pretty good, hopefully the problems won't kill the fun, ya'll did a ton of work in a few days....hope that dry U-joint won't give you any issue's...be safe...God Bless!!!!
Yeah , 1,500 mile road trip with 5:30 rear gears and no overdrive , It will be cool to watch him peel his melted shoes off the scorching hot floor pan with no isolation in the car. I wonder if water temp will be a issue at 6,800 rpm at maybe 60mph cruising speed hour after hour. This is going to be so cool !
Cool man i use to love those old gassers with 289 engine solid block can be bored 1.25 tho over an can hold up to he build for high rpms no problem. Love your style dude .
The 55 sure looks good for the amount of Hell that you guys went through. Two Guys Garage or 2 guys in garage makes it easier. Maybe Murr will build his Volvo into a gasser.
Oh man! This is so cool!!!! I hope you guys kick ass with this learn ALLOT then come state side for drag week here!!! Love the channel keep being awesome
Is the best video you've done in a long time good for you great to see you guys banging away and get that all done great luck at getting the charging system going. All the best from Surrey BC
The nice thing about those old "standup spare" tire wells is you can cut 'em out, shorten 'em, and relocate (rusty floor pans come in handy for something) as your battery location to distribute weight to the rear of the car--you can really get the battery out of the way if its a smaller car and needs some trunk space for long distance hauling to an event. Bad news is if there's a weepy rear window seal...they're the first to collect wet debris and rust out. nice spot for a 69 Charger filler neck, ala Two Lane Blacktop tho :)
Hope you guys got teched in and you worked all the major bugs out so you can go racing. But if nothing else, a crazy gasser do some dirtyard doughnuts was pretty awesome!
Yes, this is what the car guys do, whatever it takes to gett'er done! No matter what the outcome, really Proud of you Dan'O.
A pile of work. But the laughter was worth it seeing it do domuts. Keep after it. If it was easy everyone would do it. Only a handful are crazy enough to pull all nighters and work till your blind.
This is the most joy and laughter I've seen come out of Dan at one time, post edit I'm sure but still infectious! Had me hoped up! Yup
Turning that pile of parts into a running driving car is a major victory in itself! That's a badass machine!

2:10 fast forwarded right into that one.
I was so impressed in the lack of a flexy hose! Then I saw the Scotch Locks on the coil wires...
Hope fully there’s no starter repairs in there future. 😉

Finally Dan is working on a real Gasser! Old School Gasser had to have a straight axel!!! If only you had 1 more day to work on that jewel…
ONLY ONE ! ---- lol How about 2 or 3 weeks of testing at a track to get it dialed in !
Not every old school gasser had a straight axle. The majority, sure, but plenty on lifted coils
The nose high stance was a must
