The government needs to bring Jamaican housing up to standard, starting with the elderly first or building a gated community for senior citizens. This will prevent a repeat of what happened. Major supermarket chains should be supplied with essentials covered by the government or elected officials. I cannot understand why the Red Cross, Food for the poor, the St Elizabeth Parish Council and the various govt agencies and MPs from both sides have not made any immediate response to the needs of the people in St Elizabeth who were badly affected by Hurricane Beryl. I'm mostly surprise that the Red Cross and Food for the poor have been so quiet and not visible ad they should. It's a shame that Colaz alone is bearing the burden of the immediate response needed. He went first, saw the need and was able to garner support and tangible items and food in a week and was back in the area all the way from Portland. Now you tell me, what happen to the govt. and other agencies who have much more resources and man power at hand? They should be down there toe to toe with Colaz helping the immediate needs of the people. Colaz, you are a youbg man with a big heart. May God continue to give you the strength and wisdom and security you need to continue the humane work you are doing. Steer clear of corruption and favouritism. Blessings will surround you.

However Colaz and his team are doing an amazing job helping those in need and affected by hurricane Beryl. Hopefully there are more people out there doing the same and maybe some home building stores will offer there assistance and work with him.
