Playing with one of these recently and it seems to be able to cover a big chunk of a microcosm w/out the reverb. Getting a loop going in the tensor and just listening to it shift and morph slightly has been really enjoyable! It also really likes being hit with a RP Raster 2, despite the raster being a little temperamental on its own.
Thanks for this- I've been struggling to find especially musical, hands free ways to use the Tensor and yeah, the 2+octave and reversed accompaniment is definitely inspiring, and creating a loop in NXT and then quick switching it to OVR(doubles the NXT loop) and playing over it is nice without having to stray into ambient or crazy(not that there's anything wrong with those!). I'll still probably let it go- I can get there or close with some other options that have other stuff on tap I find more useful, but this is the first I've really found it to be an asset as a songwriting tool and makes the decision a bit tougher.
LMAO i know isn't it insane?! the harp lyfe can get crazy sometimes, i have to wait for Black Friday every year to order a new set haha. thank you so much!
@@emilyharpist it's a fairly old video I realist. But I started thinking of getting a Tensor to live alongside my Chase Bliss Mood & Cosmos. I saw this about the cost of harp strings and it reminded me. When I was back in university studying classical guitar performance, I didn't have enough money for new strings. (for classical, might change them every few weeks). So I used to get some new life out of old strings by doing that old trick of taking off the nylon strings, washing them carefully in water with a little dishwashing soap, then restringing them. Then I'd just buy individual strings for the bass, which I'd try to keep alive by washing hands before playing, and wiping them down after playing. I wonder if that can work for harp strings?
really lovely, thank you for sharing.
thank you so much!! can't wait for more (thinking about picking up a Particle...)!
@@emilyharpist we would love to hear that as well.
Astonishing what she did with her foot at 1:39
Seriously fabulous performance
Man now I can't unthink how great it'd be for guitar pedaling to have hands for feet
Yeah I’m sold. Can’t wait to use this on my cello.
DO IT!!!! I love this pedal. I also recently heard the Afterneath V3 on cello, sounds amazing!
The Tensor is wild yet capable of great beauty. It suits your sound very well.
thank you so much :)

Yo those harmonics are sick! great job!
haha thank you!! :)

Thanks Tim!! I actually should have another tensor on the way to make a new video with after all this time!!
I really love your ideas that fuses a traditional instrument into electronics.
I feel like playing my Japanese koto in your style :)
thank you so much!! I'm honored!!
I just looked up what a set of harp strings can cost and was shocked.
Beautiful music.

Lol nice harmonics. I play the harp at school and find right-handed harmonics easy on lever harp and left-handed easier on pedal
