    For spends below 10L forget plat travel. Just get sbi cashback for online & atlas for offline spends.. sbi is credited back to statement & atlas points can use to book basic economy flights.
    A person who is unable to spend 10L+ has no interest in splurging in 5 star stays. Rather will stay in a 3 star and have multiple cheaper trips

    • @PerAnnummoney

      It depends upon preference of the person. What you suggested is also fair. Some people can optimise more for free flights over hotel stays.

    Which card provides points on rent amount?

    • @PerAnnummoney
      @PerAnnummoney  Місяць тому +2

      Rent as a category isn't that rewarding as it used to be. Almost all banks have devalued their cards that used to offer reward points on rent. But here is one card that you can still explore:
      IDFC Vistara Credit Card - Offers you 1 CV point on every Rs. 200 and rent payments are counted towards the milestone benefits of premium economy flight vouchers.

      @@PerAnnummoney Isn't it still a good deal ? Assuming you pay 40k per month as rent. Rounding it to 4.5L spends per year. Interest earned on IDFC Savings account for that 40k each month - 232/- (2784 pa). You also earn 0.5% miles. so, it would 2250 miles pa. Roughly 5k in benefit and this should compensate 1% loss in processing fee for 4.5L (4.5k). On top of this, you get 2 upgrade vouchers, and 4 free premium economy flights + with those rent payments every month..lounge stays active every month. If you pay these CC payments via HDFC Billpay - you get 4.8k back. That should compensate your joining fees + free credit limit and liquid cash and kick that rent payment rotation to one month late. I'm yet to move into a rented flat,🤞lets hope idfc and vistara offers stay intact post the merger.

      @@PerAnnummoney Thanks. Do you still think that Axis Atlas makes sense? It is highly restrictive in terms of spending avenues (does not support fuel, insurance, wallets, utilities, government related, jewellery, rent, and many others). Plus these limitations do not apply just on milestones, they apply on normal rewards as well. So where would a person actually use the Atlas card now? If we limit it to just travel, how many people would be spending 6 lakhs plus in a year just on travel (assuming spend based on cap of 30k per year @5% in travel category).
