Good bye with some classic sounds to a crazy decade! In the beginning of it (2010), I lost my mum and this year I got the information that I'll be a father for the first time in 2020 . All this showed me, that life goes on and you should never give up. Looking forward to 2020 and the coming decade. To the whole Chillhop Community, merry christmas and all the best.

Listening to this for the first time I remembered some really sad memories come back to me I also remembered really happy memories I'm a 18 and am not afraid to say that men can feel hurt show emotional. No men or women should hide any feelings EVER. You know some say what makes a man is his strength and not have soft spots. I just feel free when I listen to Chillhop. Maybe its growth. It's just a different perspective. Probably the best Essentials to date for me. Although Winter 2018 was magical too. Anytime you got Aso and Melodiesinfonie following each other, it's going to be eclectic.

If I'm forced to listen to "All I want for Christmas is you" 30 times per year because it's being played in the shopping mall on repeat, that means that I've listened to that song more times than any other song in my life, which is, frankly, horrifying.

Go into cool & smooth jazz during Christmas then. "Chet Baker sings" is a good album around that period as well. Gerry Mulligan's "Night lights" is also great amongst many many others... Grant Green's "Idle moments", Stanley Turrentine's "Blue hour" etc. Check them out.

Whenever I listen to these beats, I get nostalgic feelings of peacefulness that I experienced in the past, but I can't remember at which point of life was that.
This is my favorite mix Chillhop has made. I even purchased the album. Still listening 3 years later.

Fell in love with my person but still got a lot to work on for myself. Never let them know they got to you. Drink water. Write down everything you can cause it’s a release. Particularly the Winter Mix has consistency in curating beats for reflection over the past year. The winter, with its shorter light span, causes one to be indoors, longing for warmth, kindling joy by fireplace, while pensive over events over the year, while by grace, we await a new year.
