I love the Topeak ratchet set. I also keep a Burktek Pocket Wrench II in the larger yellow slot inside the pouch. Fits perfectly and provides some additional capability.
As Knipex is a German company, I'd propose to pronounce the K. That's how native speakers would do. Nice kit, btw. Carry basically the same with the addition of a Victorinox Cybertool and an additional bit adapter.
cool, I have similar, Knipex needs to come out with inserts that stick in the cobra jaws and convert them to the standard pliers so you don't have to carry both (like Klein) I will try and make some with some 2 mm stainless sheet and hot glue to fill the gap and form a tight fit. won't be as good but "good enough"
Very nice. I have a Leatherman Wave with a ratcheting extension and a bit kit. I also have a 4in adjustable wrench and the 5in Knipex pliers. I have a dozen other items in my EDC pouch but those are the main tools.
Very nice, professional tools in a compact, elegant pouch. Thank you for sharing, that Topek kit and Knipex set are superb and well matched. Subscribed.
Consider these two upgrades:1.) Victorinox extension bar for swisstool 30344 that fits the topeak ratchet and makes it more effective. 2.) Wera diamond tip bits don't slip off the fastener.
I was considering the build something like this and your video was really helpful for me to make sure what I need or not. I'm thinking on adding Knipex Cobra XS instead and also an additional chain breaker.
@@YourOwnAdventure It's a little smaller and just a bit cheaper if I'm not wrong. I'll be using it to remove my wheels in case needed so the size doesn't really matter much.
Pretty good kit. I would either trade out one of the plier wrenches for a leatherman style tool or carry a smaller multitool that had some of the same features. I can't count how many times I've needed an awl to make a screw hole, a saw, a file, or some heavy duty wire cutters. That's me though. I just recently ordered the cobra xs. If they work out like I think I may ditch my leatherman, make a kit like this, and carry one of my old Victorinox knives that has the other tools I want.
Well done. That all fits well and looks like great functionality. Nothing like real tools that can be EDC, I carry a Leatherman Rebar on my belt but its limited having so many tools and being bulky. I have the 7" Knipex pliers wrench and it's a lot better at gripping and getting in tight spaces vs Rebar.
Thank you! I love this pouch. It's primarily used for my car kit. However, I have full size tools all over the place so these little kits are purely for convenience. I just picked up the Leatherman Free P2 and love it for the one hand accessibility!
I don't know why I never thought about that ... Zebra pen but Fischer Space insert 😮 Which size / model did you use for both? I didn't see the links for that awesome combo. 😢
Hate you! 🤣. Have been looking at this pouch wondering, as I have 3 different sized Maxpedition pouches with various tool combinations. So now more Amazon deliveries I have to hide 🤣👍
Considering that the 5" pump plier is shown in my kit and the 6" plier wrench that comes in the 2 piece kit offered from Knipex(that i'm using the sheath from) is snug. I don't think the 7" would work with extras but there's only one real way to be sure!
@@YourOwnAdventure I can confirm it works! I can quite easily fit my 180mm pliers wrench and 150mm cobras at the back, with the Topeak at the front. Heavier and a little bulkier than yours though! For EDC your version is better. I also wonder for EDC if I'd prefer 150mm pliers wrench with a 4 or 5" Visegrip instead of the cobra, as a 3rd hand with cutting functionality (but less power than the cobra). Thanks for the inspo 👍
If it works for him, it’s not foolish. I get it, I would never take two pliers like he does over a decent Victorinox. Even if Im taking the bare minimum I always carry at least my minichamp. I’d also choose a different pouch, pick a much smaller pen, … But that’s what works for me. Edc/toolkits are personal and calling it foolish is like if were to call you foolish because you like a certain color. Doesn’t make sense.
Do you say Knipex with a "K" or keep it silent?
Ralph Putsch (director of Knipex) pronounces K and stresses NI on their 2021 product updates video. So, yes, K is pronounced.
With a K.
Source: Germany
Actually, it is pronounced "Keneepex" (K pronounced, and the "i" is a long, open "i", as in e.g. in the English word "tea")
Silent..
@@StraightouttaBristol it’s def not silent, it comes from German root word “to cut” and the Germans pronounce the k in “kn” words

I just ordered the Topeak Rachet Set to complete my EDC pounch with Cobra 125. It is the best usefull compact combination for everyday carry.
Knipex for the win !
One day they'll make a multi-tool 👍
I love anything from knipex
I’m impressed I love knipex
Nice minimal and well rounded kit 👍
I love it!
I fashioned a 6” stainless steel tube into an extension bar / saw holder. With this I achieved 95 Nm using the Knipex mini XS wrench pliers.
So you made one end to fit the mini ratchet & the other holds jigsaw blades?
As Knipex is a German company, I'd propose to pronounce the K. That's how native speakers would do.
Nice kit, btw. Carry basically the same with the addition of a Victorinox Cybertool and an additional bit adapter.
i have lots of kits like this for sure the 2 knipex is the main in all my kits
You can added a leatherman charge, wera rachet o swiss champ, or all of these. Good kit

Want

i go with fully equiped Surge and 125mm Knipex pliers wrench.
but i love your set too !
Sounds like a nice package!

Brilliant selections. What a fantastic, minimalist kit.
Add a victorinox minichamp in the mix/ the ratchet rocker comes allso with a chaintool and tire levers that are super compact
Great video and a very capable kit.

Smart bit of kit 👍

nice kit :)
I'm not wearing any tights 🤣
No cutting tool? I’m assuming you carry an edc knife but maybe a utility knife would be helpful. Great kit!

So you can fit both the 5” and 6” pliers plus the micro ratchet kit within the Knipex holster all at the same time!?
That's how I have it set up!
@@YourOwnAdventure nice! Can you post a link for the mini ratchet to make sure I’m looking at the right one?
@@JayyBird93 it's linked in the description 👌

got same kit. incl pen😅
Let's just hope we're not faced with a flat head screw.
That's what my knife is for. I broke off the tip to use for flat heads...

No pocket knife ⁉️

Don’t care for the plastic clip on the pouch
