Praxis II study guide: www.mo-media.com/praxisii/
Hi! Thank you for these useful information. Would you please explain to me the difference between praxis and place English exam? I am planning to teach English in Colorado for 7-12 grades.
Thank you very much for the study help!
Stay well out there everybody, and God bless you friends. :)
Thank you teachers, wonderful teaching
Testing tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
All of this is so very helpful.
Thanks, we are glad you enjoyed it. We also have great PRAXIS Study Guides on our website at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii!
that one kid is so young. some of this is helpful all around no complaints for a free resource.
We are glad you enjoyed the video. We also have a great Study Guide for the PRAXIS available on our website at www.mo-media.com/praxisii/!
Agreed.
This is a great review, but it seems like it's for kids still in school. I'm taking the praxis on Wednesday!! Edit: I passed! Thanks.
We are glad you enjoyed the review. If you'd like more PRAXIS prep, check out our study guides at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii.
Did you take the elementary education one? If so, did this video help with the elementary education language arts/social studies test?
Betty Bynum did you pass Betty
@@Chris-Stevens I have taken both of those tests. Parts of it help. Much of it is different and more simplified. Good luck!
This was really good thank you.
Hello there! I see that you posted your comment about a month ago... by any chance have you taken this praxis test recently?
May I ask how you did?
Thank you! :)
I’m going to take this test in the future. Thank you
You're welcome. We are glad it was helpful! Be sure to also check out our PRAXIS Study Guides as well at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii.
This is amazing. Thank you!!
Helpful
Would please anyone explain to me the difference between praxis and place English exam?
Is this still applicable to the current test? @mometrix test preparation
Does this help with middle school English praxis? I’m taking it Saturday and I need to pass it. Anything that can help me study is MUCH appreciated!
For the types of sentences lesson, the Complex sentence is not complex, but rather a simple sentence. Complex sentences = 1 independent clause + 1 dependent clause. A clause needs a Subject and a Verb. The sentence, "Instead of watching a movie, he read a book." Does not have a dependent clause, even though "Instead of watching a movie" looks like one. "Watching a movie" is a verbal, or a verb being used in a different way. And example of a complex sentence would be "Because SHE WAS afraid of water, the GIRL DID not SWIM."
i hope this helps
What version is this from? Is this from the most updated version of the Praxis 5038?
We do work hard to keep all of our information up to date. This video was just published in fall of 2016. For a more complete review, we suggest our PRAXIS Study Guide which is available on our website at www.mo-media.com/praxisii.
English Language Arts Content Knowledge
Hello! I have to take English Language Arts: Content Knowledge (5038). Do have any recommendation or guides I could use to study? I'm from another country and I have to pass this test in order to keep my license and my job teaching Preschool. Please help!!!!!
We recommend our Praxis Exam Secrets Study Guides! Here is the link to the information and order page: www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii.
Is this still upto date for 2019
The concepts covered in the video are still useful. They are only a sample of some of the types of material you may see, however. For a more complete review, we suggest our Praxis II Study Guides. You can read all about them here: www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii.
Does this cover most of the same content that will be on the English content and analysis 5039? I’m pretty sure the only difference is one has short answer questions
This video is specifically designed for the 5038 exam but many of the concepts are probably useful for other exams. You would have to compare the test content outlines for the 2 exams to see how similar the material is on them. If you'd like more Praxis II review, check out our study guides at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/praxisii.
Taking this tomorrow. I saw some things about having to know specific books. Is this true?
How you do
Theodore Ward Still haven’t got my scored
swordstaker did you take this same Ella test 5038 if so how close is it to any of the practice tests
Theodore Ward I took 5039. From what I understand they’re close to the same. 5039 just has a writing section. This didn’t help me that much. A lot of the practice questions are very similar though. For the last 30 or so questions I was bombarded with teaching philosophy questions which I didn’t know the answers to. Since I’m doing Alt-Cert I wasn’t taught them yet so I just chose what I thought was the best. There’s a lot of questions about grading papers and how would you correct this students paper. There were a couple questions on fallacies. A couple on matching authors to book titles and a few on picking out ideas from stories.
swordstaker ok I’m in a Alt teacher program as well. How did you study for it and do you feel like you passed. And what score do you need for your state.
I did the test today. Is the first number your score? I was so nervous that I didn't read what exactly the 186 meant.
Here is the ETS website for complete information on scores: www.ets.org/praxis/scores/.
Dude thats a high score !!!
You lost me at "hisself"
Exactly!
that Pronoun section is 1/70 of today's Pronoun vocabulary
I am a pastor and becoming a public school teacher for the ministry God is calling me to! Love the Biblical references in the allusion notes! Bible is the best way to learn all things!!!
