Histogram can’t help. Don’t trust Metering, and histogram. Best thing to trust is your own eyes and mood you want to show in that particular image and nothing. It’s all about your own taste.

@@VipinGaur I am sorry Vipin, in fact I wanted to ask about the externally used Light meter. How much the light meter is important for a professional photographer? Thank you.
You are wrong about matrix metering it's not really average because it gives priority to the focusing point to give you exposure reading, only centre weighted average metering gives you frame average metering of whole scene, first you need to select centre weighted metering and then go to settings b4 and select average from there, I am only talking about Nikon brand. I have spent lots of time to understand this. Now let me give you another tip is go to settings b3: Fine-tune optimal exposure to adjust each metering method, I have kept matrix metering -1, highlight weighted+1, remaining two that's centre and spot I have kept them 0.
You are confused.... Priority is given to focus point only in spot metering mode. Matrix metering is average metering. Reads the whole scene and then averages to produce optimal exposure. Centre weighted gives preference to the centre of the frame hence the name centre weighted. Spot metering reads exposure from a single spot centered around the focus point. If Auto area is selected then camera will focus on centre point.
One of the key factors (in addition to color, distance, subjects, highlights, etc) that affects matrix metering, is where the camera focus point is set to. After reading information from all individual zones, the metering system looks at where you focused within the frame and marks it as more important than all other zones.
@@VipinGaur also try doing focus stacking along with matrix metering then you will see it will give you different meter reading when you change your focus point. I hope this helps
This is very misleading video. In normal lighting conditions camera inbuilt exposure meter works very good. In dramtic light conditions histogram will also confuse u. Moreover light meter and exposure meter are same..light meter reads exposure only. Difference is that inbuilt light meter reads reflected light and external exposure meter reads both incident as well as reflected light....depending on the model.

How much an Exposure meter is important to a professional photographer ?
I have rarely used in body exposure meter... according to me we should avoid using it. Especially if you are using strobe light then its of no use.
