    Stay at Home Retreat Description
    Retreats are an excellent method of practicing Pratyhara, the 4th limb of Yoga. Pratyahara is internalizing one’s attention. It is the boundary between the external and internal practices of Yoga and the threshold to Oneness-realization.
    It is excellent to travel to retreats from time to time for rejuvenation. Yet, it is even better to have a private retreat in one’s own home. This has the power to spiritualize one’s everyday life, and further imbue the home with sacred vibrations. The home is often truly where the heart is, and when the home is full of the sacred light of meditation, so is the heart.
    Rather than travel to an exotic or distant location, I invite you to take time from your work and your family and consciously dedicate these 4 days to commit to your spiritual path, further deepen your spiritual well-being, and to give your self permission to rejuvenate your soul.
    During this retreat we will come together online for:
    Guided meditation practice and training
    Yogic philosophy lectures - how to think, act and be like a yogi
    Kriya Yoga Meditation Techniques and lifestyle instruction
    Seasoned yogic meditators are invited to participate to further hone their practice, and beginning yogic meditators are invited to learn the time tested techniques of Self-realization.
    Books by Ryan Kurczak are available on Kindle and Amazon.

    "This is not about community, this is not about church, this is sbout waking up . . ." Very powerful statement. Even as a small child church did nothing for me, except give me a chance to socialize. Meditation has helped me find my voice and my strength-something church or religion never has. Thank you so much for your words and what you are teaching. 🙏🏼💖

    I recall a carnival at a monastery circa 1975. My family couldn't go in but I had the most wonderful time just taking in the sounds of celebration, the decadent smells and beautiful lights beyond the hedge. When I meditate, I feel like that little girl again...thats why I do it.
    Swami Kripalu wrote that passage you read...very nice. thx

    I’m not live but you asked for the reason. I want to know god. I have tasted what it feels to be one. That feeling when you know. I want to learn myself so that I can stay that path. This brought me here. Here helps. 🙏🏻

    Intention: To gain clarity over my life and understand my purpose on this Earth. To help me cultivate focus so I can see projects start to end.
    Also. Isn’t self realization a strong enough intention? I feel like it beats all my other intentions. It’s what I want to accomplish most in my life. Why? Because it’s just what I feel I’m meant to do.

    I used to meditate a lot. My eyes would roll back like you said yours do. I found that as I got to the relaxed state I would feel my consciousness change. Unfortunately life took over. I want to start again. I'm now 55 yo. Have I left it too late. Love your channel.

      Since it only takes about 5-7 years to go deep into a Realization of Self for those who really go for it, I would say no. Also, for anyone concerned about age, remember, your consciousness continues despite age. So your level of "development" at age 84 will carry over into the next life, so anytime one starts the process they are always better off than never starting!

    Ryan, what is your view on meditating in public transport? I prefer the early morning trains to the loos at work you mentioned. 😁 However, your comments on picking up people's karma when surrounded by others during meditation classes have me concerned. Would that apply on a train where most people are nodding off or reading? Thank you for your books and videos, by the way, - they are brilliant - a real help in my life atm.

      It's not really worth discussing. If it were, I'd mention it. Really, what is on this channel, and in my books will say just about anything I would ever say about what I do or have done. I'm pretty simple.

    Thank you and it was a great video as always. Excellent way of interrogating Self on why we need to do this. May be each one start it with different reasons, however what can make them to hold on to this great life time journey. Can u pl post some of the reasons.

    1:29:32 because i am not determined to sit for however long maybe? Because I'm not even interested maybe? Because I just want it to be easy! Because I believe you. Because I don't want to have to do the same research all over again that ancient masters have done already. I want to bask myself in the bliss of their vibrations just maybe?

      Sure, but it doesn't hurt to follow the map or trail left behind, so you don't have to blaze your own trail...although you STILL have to undertake the adventure. Staring at the map won't work.

    Hi Ryan. When I meditate I don’t get a lot of thoughts about my day or life but I get visions of people I don’t know. They are either talking or in random situations. It’s really bizarre sometimes. Am I dreaming? I feel as though I am fully awake and alert though?

  • @gaurav5161

    What has kriya yoga to offer to people who are at a point of absolute shunya? What if as a soul there is a regret that they chose to have asked for or given a human experience.

    • @KriyaYogaOnline
      @KriyaYogaOnline  7 років тому +1

      Then you've missed the point. Regret, plays no role here.

      Ryan Kurczak okay. I don't understand 🙄. Do you mean that we should see it as a Gladiators Arena? Once you're in, you're on? till you win or them? And I still wonder how Krishna convinced Arjuna to fight

    Ham(came from 'Aham', Sanskrit word which means 'That is')....Saah(sa) means You....
    When we chant Ham...Sah...that means (That is You i.e., God)...which means You(God) are within me...
    +Ryan Kurczak correct me if i'm wrong...

    Let's say besides having a great Bodhicitta and the desire to understand more of everything that is, I want Siddhis, which is something that's often despised (I guess because my aforementioned attitudes are not always present in people). What is your opinion about this wish especially in connection with your question "why is this NOW so repulsive to you" when my answer would be that I want to grow cause I reached a point from where I must know _myself_ how it is to have these abilities, just like any other thing, e.g. learning an instrument, doing sports etc (also part of god, as are the siddhis). But I cannot gauge the progress/speed of these things. From what you said in another video, things like that grow naturally but how does the ability to walk through solid matter or teleport yourself for example grow naturally? Isn't that something that is on/off? Imagining someone having a 90% anima or prapti siddhi would be rather funny :D
    Did you observe siddhis yourself yet?

    Hello Ryan. How does one go about getting initiated into Kriya Yoga? I have been interested in learning these teachings but where i live there are no gurus to seek out. Is it possible to use your channel for initiation? one night about a month ago i asked for a guru and the next morning i found your channel. Thanks Ryan!

    • @KriyaYogaOnline
      @KriyaYogaOnline  7 років тому

      Read the chapter on initiation in my book Kriya Yoga Vichara, or see my other playlists which are full courses, for what I think about this... too long to put in a youtube response.
