Alex Hollins Yngwie´s rising force reached 60´s on Billboard 200 charts in the USA back then, plus that LP´s is known as the bible of neoclassical rock. Rising force influenced many other bands. Additionaly he has a tremendous fanbase in Japan he alos reached 1 with Fire and Ice in japan. So I´m pretty sure backthen Yngwie was really famous at least for about 7 years or so, because after the 90´s grunge came and kinda destroyed all the great heavy metal... well however I love Blackmore and Yngwie. But I think people should at least pay little bit more respect to yngwie he did so much..... cheers
not a chance ...iNG is a great player no doubt but he will never be a Blackmore or even close .. all the aimless wandering and repetitive riffs.. all you have to do is listen to him for 10 minutes and you heard everything he does.. not to mention his solos are flash there is no aim or purpose .. its just showing off and its nothing worth listening to so yeah technically he is a fantastic player ... but he will never come close to the work Blackmore has done
