Rick Graham demonstrates the signature pickup of Periphery's Misha Mansoor - The Juggernaut. For more information on the Juggernaut - www.bareknuckl...
Dude, I slept on these PUPs for far too long. The Rags and Aftermath PUPs are AMAZING, but the Juggs seem PERFECT for drop tuned 7-string riffage given the tight low-end response. I doubt they're nearly as high-output as the Rags, but that's the appeal for why I NEED TO PLAY WITH THE JUGS (pun intended) hahahaha.
Man... I've been an active PUP guy for almost 20 years from when I first replaced my JB & SH2N which came stock in my old Jacksons and put in EMGs. Ironically, I hate EMGs now, and the Fishman's make everything sound the same. So, not long ago I decided to checkout BKPs and SWEET FAT BABY JESUS they sound like tatted up big booty latina angels singing when you play them, but damn they're expensive lol. Don't get me wrong; they're worth every single penny, and the guys (and galls) at the shop are super cool to work with. I've already replaced my 6 string Solar Canibalismo with Aftermaths, and my Iron Label RGIX27 with Rags and though I love both of those sets, I think I need to purchase the Juggs to put in my ESP Arrow 7-string. UA-cam kinda sucks with their compression algorithm which takes away some of the dynamic range, so even when I listen to these demos it's hard to really hear just how much of an impact they have on the tone, but it's dramatic enough you can still hear it despite the compression. That said, I swear on my old useless 🥜that BKPs sound twice as good (when properly installed using the recommended pots, quality solder and wire). The Rags seem to get a bit flubby on the low-end when drop tuned (just my opinion), but they sound like the voice of GOD in my Ibanez dropped 1/2 step from standard tuning. In conclusion, the Aftermath PUPs are the more versatile of the two I own (Rags and Aftermaths), but I feel like they'd lack the low-end response for drop tuned 7-string metal riffage. However, BKP may be forcing my hand here a little, and I should probably buy a set of Aftermath and Juggs for the Arrow and see which is best. Final note, if I end up on the news murdered, it was probably my wife because I've spent so much money on gear. Lastly, to my beautiful wife, if you're reading this, just know I love you baby!!!!!!!
Damn he's using just ordinary Ibanez, but that Bareknuckle really change the whole sound. Tone is really in the player's hand/fingers. I bet I can only sound so so.
The pickups seem like they sound kinda good... maybe if Rick woulda played something kinda more shreddy and technical we'd get a better sense of their tone...?
You're right. It has been on Rick's channel for a long time. We wanted to have it uploaded to our channel as a way for our customers to see what the Juggernaut can do, and who better than Rick Graham!
@@BKPickups So happy you did! I've been sitting on a set of gold juggernauts for a long time, this video convinced me to swap out the MM1s on my old 2017-18 Jackson HT7 for these!
It's always so good to see Rick Graham play!
(and we love our bk juggernaut by the way)
You wouldnt believe it, but a Dimarzio Steves Special sounds like its more liquid twin
I'm feeling extremely well
Bare knuckle Picups are just amazing sounds so smooth and crisp ❤️

Ordinary Ibanezes are just better than a lot of other guitars IMHO.
@@SOYUSE Exactly why I referred back to Ibanez S series back in the day because of its reliability.
@@SOYUSE i've never ever seen or played a bad RG tbh. Best guitar ever in terms of reliability/price/versatility

rick insane graham
Both the Backing track, tone and phrasing sound like Satriani, namely Flying in a blue Dream.
because it's in Lydian
damn this is so old. rick graham is a beast tho.
👏🏻
If you play active pickups you'll be surprised by nearly any high gain pickup replacement.
Fantastic sound
Awesomeness, but does it CHUG?!?! 😂
I'm a DIMARZIO guy I'm just here for rick

The lead sound/playing reminds me of Devin Townsend 🤔
