I love the way that young Elsa Armengou, pays such attention when Joe Magnarelli plays such a wonderfully improvised solo. She plays the melody , but with a maturity way above her years. What a talent.
This young lady has the whole world in front of her. Aren’t we the lucky ones to see and hear a true artist blossom as she strides innocently into a future of limitless possibilities. Thank you Miss Armengou.
Elsa has grown into an accomplished young musician since I started seeing her as a young trumpeter just recently! Wow! Chamorro, Carrascosa, Casamitjana & crew keep putting up these incredible classic Jazz renditions! Bravo!
I thought no one would ever be able to surpass Nelson Riddle’s arrangement of this song, first for Sinatra, then for Ronstadt. I was wrong. This arrangement is superb and the trumpet solos to die for.
Elsa has such great tone, articulation, phrasing and vibrato. Her trumpet teacher should be greatly applauded! 🎶❤️🎶

They say the human brain doesn't mature until age 27 or 28. The musical part of the brain obviously matures much earlier and we, the listener, get to borrow passion and glory from the voices of musically mature youngsters. I've watched Elsa since she was not much taller than her trumpet and she has become a huge talent. Was Dizzy this good at this age? Or Little Jazz? Keep coaching her, maestro, don't let her be diverted from her bliss.
I need to leave my computer but I can't get away from this wonderful jazz band. It's an addicition but a good one.

Fun to reckon due to YT, you have seen a somewhat shy tiny girl growing up into a gifted trumpet player teenager. She played beautifully. Another jazz flower opening. Thank Mr Joan.

A solo trumpet with a delicate, refined and elegant tone.
If this continues, I am sure that it will have a great future among music and jazz artists in particular, which requires, among other things, a lot of imagination, originality and creativity.

What a great group of young musicians! All so talented, Elsa does well on the trumpet, she will go far, Andrea Motis is so good on the sax, trumpet and vocal. It is good to start out young like that, I started playing piano at age 4 and made my radio debut at age 6. Music was classical to start and I could play anything I heard so later turned to standards and pop for fun. Several instruments has allowed me to enjoy playing classical for years with bands in school, orchestras, and then nightclub work. I rarely perform in public now but music is still my go-to feel-good passion, I play and sing at home for myself now. Love to see these young musicians so good, so young, thanks to the opportunity given them by Chamorro! Some day they will be grateful to him!
This kid on the trumpet has a huge beautiful soul. no one can teach you how to play like she does with pure heart. either you have it or not. this is what i classify as a super talent! lead alto knows how to lead a section. just beautiful! im a 45 year musician and music teacher. These kids are so rare you have no idea how precious they really are.

La petite Elsa a bien grandi, elle qu'on a connu à 6 ans et qui promettait déjà beaucoup. La elle nous donne une fantastique interprétation de ce thème en hommage à Clifford Brown disparu depuis déjà 61 ans ! Beaucoup d'assurance et une superbe sonorité, c'est magique ! Les autres musiciens ne sont pas en reste et la section rythmique avec notamment le discrète et efficace Abril Sauri aux drums est aussi à féliciter. UN GRAND MOMENT, UN GRAND PLAISIR !

Elsa does a great trumpet solo. Her tone has really improved since her solo on Mood Indigo. The band arrangement is really mellow and smooth. Way to go Joan.

Great arrangement by Alfons Carrascosa and absolutely beautiful trumpet by little Elsa - the skill and dedication to their art, of these young musicians is truly astounding. Nice solo by Joe Magnarelli also but Elsa is the real star here. Lovely warm performance - best "young" band on the Planet.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone with such a sound at such a young age. Not only does it sound stunning, but mature and personal in a way even seasoned players some times can't produce. Wow!

Wow, that is one of my favorite tunes. Every note carries me along. Elsa is growing up and I must say I liked here trumpet parts better than Joe's. Her's was pure and strong and stayed with the original beauty of the tune. His went enough into the abstract genre of jazz that can lose the pure emotion evoked by such a song. Knowing the lyrics helps too. Would love to hear it sung by maybe Elia or Andrea or Alba perhaps in the traditional style of clear and solid notes.
Showed a friend ar work today just on my phone Andrea singing Love is here to stay and this 41 yr old guy was totally impressed.
