I've never seen and hope I'll never see using a summit cross as a belay point again...not talking at all about your rope team setup as already mentioned by @manuelwecker5018... but it fits with how desperately you've looked and been acting the whole way up. Sitting in the hut suits you better - keep it up...for your safety.
