THE AWAKENING - TEACHERS ON STRIKE

On April 8, 2019, Polish teachers began their strike, which is the result of the government’s earlier neglectful attitude and the fact that the voice of the teachers has been ignored.
Several million students have been denied the right to education. It has been the most serious crisis in Polish education since 1993.
Several teachers from Lublin’s schools appear in this video. The material for it was recorded on April 15, 2019. The teachers share their thoughts on their salaries, workload, and future. Some of them have been teaching for only a few years, while others are close to retirement.
