He is actually a lot better than his numbers show. He was playing through injuries his freshman year. They say he’s almost as good as Jalen green when they played together in high school. They were both 5 star recruits coming out of high school.
Agreed however if we are to discuss political matters of the NBA, the purpose of at least one year of ncaa basketball is so players can understand things like finances, maturity, marketing and network. Jordan stayed in college for 3 years and when he came into the league he injured his foot, ready to compete but walking on thin ice when it comes to marketing. College players would all benefit if they stood for more years however the risk of injury is something they would rather happen in the end state which is the NBA Rather then college. If prospects know they are league worthy, they want as much health and youth to be spent on possible longevity given to the Association.
@jordyn seawright majority of his shots were contested. If he was ready the college game would’ve been much more easier. I still believe he needs one more year.
@@sleezzo the offense wasn’t running thru him. So every time he got the ball. He wasn’t looking to pass. Just taking shots and forcing shots. 2nd year would really help him just because he already knows the system and their style of play. It’ll help him polish his game as well. I’ve been a fan of his game since his freshman year .
This is exactly why these 5 star recruits should be able to get drafted straight out of high school. In no world should a 19 yr old kid who demonstrates a good jump shot, athleticism, and size be a projected second round pick. People overthink the draft process.
welcome to houston i wanted zaire williams to be around at this pick but ill take him just as good if they both get better hell be there better player cuz he already is
Don’t really get why you would say that. Hurley basically handed the keys to the team to him. Basically had the green light to shoot whenever he wanted, there are tons of coaches that wouldn’t have let him be himself
@2:42 "Josh Christopher wearing 13 this year with Harden signing off because game recognizes game!" Hell of a call by that guy. The Rockets should sign him too.
What am i missing that makes this kid a "mock draft" second round pick. I don't see that, I think he ranks much higher. Again i say this to say I'm only watching clips and that's not the way to judge a player. Wonder whats not to like about him.
Yea he’s definitely first round material idk why mocks have in the second but his main weaknesses are his play making, shot selection, and some bad defensive habits. He’s a great scorer and has a lot of defensive potential
So there's question on being a team player, defense and questionable shots. He's still late first material though because once he fixes the mental stuff he'll be a tremendous player
@@jerrymonroe7511 isn’t every top 18 year old inconsistent though? Like we gotta lay off these kids man. And really think...what the hell could we do consistently at 18/19 years old. Great feel for the game. Instinctive.
He should stay one more year. And polish. Creating more his shots and taking better shots. One more year should benefit him.

note to self: going to asu and playing for bobby hurley is one way to destroy your potential
If you were to single out this year and the way it played out you could say the same thing about Duke, Kentucky, and UNC.
Imo he should've went to Michigan but say if he went to like a Duke, or a Kentucky, a big school, he wouldn't succeed that much.
