My Wife and I renewed our passports online a few months back it is so nice. We also received our passports back within 2 weeks and that was NOT doing the Expedite.
I just booked a repo cruise out of Barcelona in October. I head to the ETIAS site where it tells you NOT to book flights or travel to Europe until you. So you click on the link and it tells you to come back in a couple months ... By the way, California's full disclosure law which lumps in the taxes and fees to the base fare does have a negative impact. When a cruise is cancelled, no one is too sure what portion of the fare is refundable by the cruise line. Recently, I had to cancel a cruise due to injury andI am trying to get a statement of the cruise fees and taxes so that i can submit the rest to the travel insurance provider.
Well that couldn't be any more confusing with booking your airfare! I would probably just book the flights but I can see why that could be a risk (if your ETIAS wasn't approved). That's also confusing with the California disclosure of fees. When it shows the full price, does it not show you which portion are taxes and fees?
Love the video...good info! I have a European cruise coming up in May but my understanding is you can't apply for ETIAS approval any earlier until it's launched. Hopefully there will be a window or grace period for those traveling in May.

@@MrRocket654 That's a HUGE improvement over the 3 months it took us back in 2022!
So glad they finally got with the times.

@@roc2028 It should be an easy process and all online so if you have to get one it will hopefully be simple enough!
Glad that Air Tags are ‘acceptable’ now! Has ‘issues’ in the past with Air Tag info being ‘shared’.
@@RobEisley It's definitely a major step forward for the airlines!
