Your Legion 7i turns on with the lid closed too?! I thought it was just mine! I thought maybe because some Linux incompatibility. Whenever I take it anywhere, I re-open my pack to make sure it hasn't turned on again. So far it seems like if you get it into your bag and it doesn't turn on shortly after, you're in the clear... But with covid, I haven't been able to take it anywhere much so can't say for sure how well this approach works due to the lack of being able to take it anywhere else very often. The 2020 7i has another issue... The hinges tend to go back. On the lid side, the hinges are glued on. So far it seems like this has been rectified with the 2021 7.
Yep! I know your pain! That second look when putting the Legion away (in a bag or wherever) is an odd annoyance you may think isn’t a big deal until you test a nearly identical laptop that doesn’t have that prob!
Great video! I don't know if it's done but I wanted to ask you a question. I have done two hardware scans with vantage and I wonder if these two hardware scans could damage my computer? Thanks in advance for your answer. ^^
I didn’t have those issues until the 2020 model. Their past hinges were perhaps weak, but they did not cause the laptop to wake while closed. That’s my understanding and experience.
Hey what do you think of the new lenvo x1 extreme gen 4 coming out in August. The specs seem to good to be true in such a small laptop, especially if the specs are maxed out. Surely the thing would have throttling issues and poor battery life. I was about to get the legion 7 but now im gonna wait it out and see what extreme turns out to be
I’m really excited about it! I’m going to ask to review it for sure. I’m a fan of the Legion 7. I have had the 7i for a year and other than the hinge issue, it’s awesome. I have no doubt the 7 would hold up even better in the long term.
Yeah they only have the 7i 3060 in stock. It says 6+ weeks for the 3070 which is probably longer. Fuck it im gonna pull the trigger on the 3060 i guess, I can’t wait any longer.
@@TechAdventure1 use headphones? Also I would check temps, and potentially repaste your cpu/gpu dies. My legion from a couple years back dropped over 10C and was quieter after doing this
I picked up the y740 for $699.00 open box at Microcenter. I7, 9750h, RTX 2060. It was like new condition. Was going to spend $2000 on the new Legion 7 but why? Same build, same keyboard, same RGB. Playing Cyberpunk at 50-60fps on high, RT medium, DLSS performance. Reason it was so cheap I cant change the bios. They are not updating it anymore and I cant backflash it or the laptop will brick. Lenovo evidently sent out the wrong bios. Still worth it to me.
How portable is legion 7 when compared to something like asus g15, like is it bigger or too heavy for daily use. I am going for rtx 3070 model and I am also going for a masters.
Hey there, I didn’t max it out. I used GeForce experience recommended settings with ray tracing. In which case it was good. I think the prob is the game. When in outdoor environments the game ran like poo
@@TechAdventure1 Yeah that's okay. I was just curious on the outcome is all. I wanna see how the game performs on all settings maxed out (besides the GeForce recommended settings).
About the cyberpunk gameplay cyberpunk mostly runs on the cpu and the Intel version is faster but has a lower battery life time and the amd is slower but has a longer battery life time so i Think u would get a better fps using the 7i u Can test it if u want cuz i’m not 100% sure if the 7i is gonna do a little or a lot better or mabye even the same

Hey there, I don’t think a scan could damage your pc. Have you heard of that from some place? I can ask Lenovo too.
There were hinge issues from Lenovo's initial entry into gaming notebooks from 2017. I haven't heard many issues from the 2020 model,

Thanks! Breaking: no.
Did you turn off hybrid mode in this

Hi! Definitely hearing this from others. I experienced it with my 2020 model.

100% sRGB according to the website.
