The question we've all been waiting for is how are they delivered, no? Are they all being delivered with those Mercedes semis that only can take six cars, not seven like in Shanhai or eight like in Texas? To me, that's more interesting than those endless up and down and up and down again videos of the factory walls or the darn basins.

1000 cars per week is nothing. Hope they will increase the production soon.

@@flybrandenburg It's not nothing. GM managed to produce 99 Hummers in Q1. Tesla will get to 7,000/week by the end of this year.

Where are the people? The Texas gigafactory is being built much faster than Berlin.

Especially in a heat wave the TESLA factory safes lots of water which otherwise would be evaporated by trees ;-)

nobody cares, if they couldnt find any more water, they would just dig deeper or pipe some in from somewhere else.

All that vast car parking space really needs to have solar power & perhaps, wind power generation integrated into it. Would make best use of available land; this isn't just an observation solely directed at Tesla. Worldwide we see & hear comments about difficulties & costs associated with retrofitting rooftop solar & or rural placements, yet there's 100's of 1,000,000's of acres worldwide of suitable outdoor storage & carparking that would be ideal for renewable energy generation, &, usually, are located at or near the points of consumption meaning less transmission line energy losses & infrastructure required including the sourcing & manufacturing of raw materials to support it.
To me this is just basic common sense, mainly because it's massively more efficient on multiple levels. Underutilisation is just dumb, especially if you're a landowner as this makes your costs higher than need be. This is particularly true for local authority parking provision; when it's not full, then there's no income. Having an additional income revenue stream creates best value for local taxpayers & services provision.
