@Alex Pascutia it's difficult to compare it to a rear wheel drive, because it's such a different car than the usual BMW. If i compare it to other front wheel drive compact monospace cars, i would say the Active Tourer is more fun to drive and drives more balanced. It doesn't feel top heavy or doesn't roll in the corners.
@Jerry Rawlings 6ft maybe, it is just a bit bigger than a hatchback, roomier than a hatch, check out the dimensions but I think you would need a VW Toureg or something.
+Alex Pascutiu better in every day driving. especially in winter when the RWD cars have no pressure (load?) on their back wheels. the only help is a load of sandsacks in the trunk. RWD is only if someone needs du make drifts round a bend, and reasonable people don´t do that
Wrong on both points. The 1.8i is a three cylinder and if mated with an auto gets the 6 speed box. Only the four cylinder engines get the 8 speed auto box. Getting my 218D m sport tourer 150 pretty damn soon so excited!
I bought mine 2 months ago too. So far so good. Have you had any issues after 6yrs?

The engine sounds way better than the 4 cylinder.
the 218i has a six gear box. i know, i have one.... 8 gears are for 220i and 225i
