The Bible was created before our people were enslaved. Yes, the oppressors took certain scriptures to abide by, creating white Jesus and forced the enslaved to live by it under them. This church was built before my parents were born… When I was a teenager, I was curious about the white Jesus image in my church but I ignored the image and forgot it’s even there because guess what? At my church, we’re in tuned with the spirit of God and not the image. We know the description…We’re not worshipping the image of God. And if that’s all you got from this video, that’s sad. May God guide your heart, mind, and what/how you speak to people. God bless.
