Starting out as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer in early 2023, Rachel Manbawan has since returned back to her country in Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) where she has close connections to the Maripirri tribe.Fluent in Kunwinjku and English, ALO Rachel has dedicated her role to providing effective communication between her community and the NT Police.
Her ability to effectively communicate between her community and internal stakeholders has allowed her to foster positive relations and further enhance her interpersonal skills across the community to address issues and promote positive change.
Rachel has demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism, particularly in her work as part of the team at the Gunbalanya Police Station. Her contributions have been invaluable, and she is often relied upon by members to assist them with enquires and duties within the workplace.
