Fantastic. I have done the same the techniques on karate and it's great to watch them done again as a reference. Thanks

    Really good teaching style mate.
One scenario, and x-y-z responses with an end goal in mind. This way, it's not overly complex by learning 20 techniques, but you are essentially learning about 4-5 techniques that naturally flow from the original attack. Then students can focus on each of X, Y and Z and the same number of subset ideas to make it really work and feel tight and efficient.

I use some of this stuff every day at work. I like your hammer lock series part and knee on belly double knee ride on the skull is def the way to go if you need to go to the ground! personally I prefer underhooks, arm in bear hugs... Paths to the back better. The
S.P.E.A.R system approach has a lot to offer for everyday use. Catching punches seems more suited for ring fighting, IMO and small joint manipulation is more technical than tactical. Some people love working it though, good lesson Ty

Good stuff very similar to CNSDS. Surprised with the preference for a split entry/FMA block. My preference to a haymaker would be hard outer block followed by a over hook.

Well done, the camera work helps the viewer understand the technique better. Would it be possible to see the reaction to the suspect attempting to remove their arm from the goosehead again or have I just not seen that clip yet?

2:00 "Stand by for locking sequence" That's what I tell my wife after foreplay but it never works and she tells me she has a headache, and that I have to go wash the dishes.

@Crackabu Its actually not grabbing the head that makes him fall, its the disruption of the head angle that takes him down.Where the body goes the head goes. That is why we can twist a bull to the ground. To test this stand straight and tall with your arms to your side, feet tight together.Without breaking this position, bring your head 45 degree's sideways. You will fall,or have to put your foot out to not fall.Remember you must remain dead straight.where the head goes, the body will follow.

@bradbrown0766 actually it's a hammer lock so called by the hammering action of hand and forearm to arrest movement of the shoulder.it does not lock the shoulder.a shoulder lock would look more loose away from the body resembling a kimura which locks the shoulder.-just saying :)

00:39 I wish I could get an attacker to swing at me like
    this.
1:32 He does say ''hook the foot'' , the video doesn't
show it well, but you can see when the guy is on
the ground by the foot positions of both demonstrators
that this is what he did.
I'd have to say that imv these are some great moves,
just that you can't expect to use this against a decent
striker, probably use it however, and if you can get it initiated.

      @bikersoncall 9 місяців тому

@@CarlosDang3r I know, I just posted; Wish I could get some
attacker to swing at me like that. 😂
This would work if the attacker was really drunk,
and just grabbed his shirt. It has it's applications I'm sure,
but most of these Akido based moves don't work against
      real fighters.

At 00:39 "I broke down the arm" and like that?? -Nope, you didn't, you can't, that is when a guy throws a real punch from an angle and a speed, you don't have time to perceive. But I wonder, how can you teach that being experienced sports fighter? I mean there is rage and real intent to escape and you think you're gonna block like that? And trap and retrap?? Oh please stop. This can rarely be the case, it's not worth teaching. Just throw your arms/hands in somewhat like in a dive closing the distance, absorb as much (you could get a little hurt) in order to get to the head; now that would make more sense.
