My guess is you have to hit all four of those hi five lads in a single combo. One of those optional challenges.
Yep gives you secret item's such as new songs, outfits etc...some are actually empty to troll us.
its a fun minigame in the style of the combo letters from tony hawks pro skater
In my experience, none of them are empty. Sometimes the reward is on a high shelf or behind the entrance. Or the reward is a shortcut,@@GoofyPoptart
Team Reptile is eating Sega’s lunch with this one.
The soundtrack for this game is absolutely bussin! The track around 24 minutes is GRRL - Operator. Check him out if you like acid/breakbeats!
if Red is making you think of FLCL wait until you get to the 3rd gang
Honestly this game has got an interesting storyline, did not expect that when i clicked on this video! Sure hope Wander wants to continue this!
So cool I loved jet set radio and this is like a blast from the past
Absolutely love this game. I hope you keep playing it, need more people to watch! 😂
Can't wait for the following mods added to bomb rush cyberfunk:
JSR mods
JSRF mods
Sonic Rush mods
Air GEAR mods
Lethal League mods
TMNT Mutants mayhem mods
Just dumped seven hours into this game and I’m absolutely hooked.
This so like Jet Set Radio. I'm surprised nobody in the comments has mentioned that. Like almost exactly. It could maybe even be considered a rip off. But no. It's good and has enough of it's own flare to be its own thing, and stand out from those games. But the similarities are off the charts. I can't believe nobody mentioned it until now.
Probably because he mentioned it in the video, it's a fanmade spiritual sucessor, explicitly.
That's why Sega finally said they're gonna do some awful pay to win game with JSR.
😅😅 Well, considering that everyone's already mentioned This is the spiritual Successor of jetset radio they don't have to keep mentioning it on top of that. It's not really a rip-off since they've got the blessing from the actual creator of jetset radio.
@@hanzosac123 Really!? My Bad. I didn't watch that far into the video. Like 5 minutes or more. And I didn't really read into most of the comments until after I posted this. So, yeah... My bad. I was too lazy to come back and fix this comment. Also, I had no idea this had the blessing of the original devs. I thought after reading a few comments they made this game themselves. But that's cool that the original creators accepted this.
These games are inspired and usually claim to be not clones. There is another one that's been out a few years I own with roller skates. I forget the name.
Love that WipEout style font in the menus.
WipEout and Jet Set Radio's music combination and design fused together would have been cool to see
Sugarman is Candyman that you were talking about.
The one in the suit with the yellow head with the bright smile and also very insane. I've been playing this game almost religiously when it got released and also was watching through this was awesome
Soundtracks for games like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are increasingly how I get sucked in, and I welcome it!
I did NOT expect a FLCL reference in this video.
My man thought Jet Set Radio was just Skate 💀
Jet Set Radio Sequel. LETS GOOOO
Changing the sensitivity only to put it down to 0 and 😂
Actually big blocky tvs like that are still on use, they're very big with speed runners :3 it takes less time to render graphics the way a CRT does it, so inputs that have windows of seconds are much easier with one.
oh i would love to see more of this
Is dj cyber suppose to be “beat” from JSRF??? Easter Egg?
Really hope you continue this! Just some tips, to increase your combo Multiplier, you have to lean into corners (I.E. leaning the same direction they turn, without doing any tricks beforehand) do wallruns on billboards, and go up ramps/half pipes. Each corner, billboard, and ramp will only count towards the multiplier once per combo (so you can’t use the same billboard or corner, but you can use others), but if you end the combo, you can use them again
Also fun fact, running was actually going to be a transport mode and work like soap shoes in sonic, but it was cut early in development sadly. The files still exist in the game though, so people can mod it back in if they wanted to!
What is going on with this month? This is like the 6th or 7th game that's come out that looks fantastic. I have neither the time nor the money for all of these games. 😅
Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who immediately thought FLCL when they saw that head ... *Sigh* Fine! On to the wish list it goes. I hope your happy Wander. 😝
ITS SO FUN 😁
16:40 "one part tony hawk, one part third person shooter" might be thinking of Rollerdrome
You can straight up play as Tryce and Bel, who use a BMX and in-line skates respectively
this game is so good, im up to the part after you battle irene
"um Pardon?" is not the response I had, but dang if it was not perfect. lol.
Lots of Dutch influences I see, from the names (of the characters), building designs and even that 'dream' sequence.
The team is from NL, but you may be reading too much into 'New Amsterdam' - that's just the old name of New York.
@@Adam_174it is for sure a Dutch reference. Versum Hill you would not get but Reptile's office is in a tiny vilage in The Netherlands called Hilversum.
@@Adam_174 With names I was partly looking at New Amsterdam, more so the characters names.
If you want to spread trivia of,new york, why they call new yorkers sometimes Yankees is because that is the way they pronounce a Dutch name Jan Kees.
kanti was the robot from flcl
Tony Hawk's pro skater 2077 hits rocks.
This game reminds me of Super Cloudbuilt for PS4 and PC.
The original jet set radio actually was a dreamcast game, and future held pretty close to the style. I loved jsrf as a kid and ive been really enjoying brcf a lot. BRCF leans int tricking a lot more, in my experience the trick system in jsrf was a little underdeveloped
That feel when the Tachikoma be groovin'~
this is just modern jet set radio
Thats the whole point. Sega wouldn't make a new Jet Set Radio, so Team Reptile made Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
thats literally what the idea be hind it was LMFAO like an homage to jet set radio
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition! 51:48
this game just looks amazing. The ps1 graphics and all, the comboing tricks, etc. Seems to scratch an itch I didn't remember I had!
PS1 would have this crazy wobbling effect with the models where they can't seem to maintain it's OG shape.
With regards to a jsr style game where you just run really fast instead of skating, I believe that was called Hover - Revolt Of Gamers, which was simultaneously as awesome and lame as the concept and name would imply, respectively. It did have 2 songs on the ost by Hideki Naganuma, though!
Legit JSRF Love it so much one of the best games EVER!!!!
watching this video gave me a strong urge to replay JetSet Radio
it's roughly the same artstyle, more cartoony shenanigans, slightly less serious story and the soundtrack vibes with me personally a bit more
definitely gonna get this game at some point tho, the spraying looks way more enjoyable when it comes to big paintings
only thing I saw so far I would change: the tiny sprays didn't stop you in JSR, would have prefered if it stayed that way, grinding on rails and drice-by-spraying those tiny graffities along the walls
That robot from fooly cooly you were talkin about was named Canti if you don't know, he emerged out of the main character's forehead, yeah I know it's a weird anime
music is super chill
I hope there will be more of this
Jet set radio jr
1:01:00 wander literally describing sonic lmao
I do hope you make more videos of this.
I LOVE THIS GAME everyone plz buy so they can make more i need MOAR!!
I've seen another person play this and they also said the main character head reminded them of flcl and ghost in the shell these guys where there roots on there sleeve.
7 months and yet no part 2 😞
It's look cool!
Can we have a series out unrelated videos of you playing this in chronological order?
@@wanderbotsI think I saw a tweet from the developer about not being ok to use it
@@wanderbotsthe devs tweeted earlier that it’s not copyright! so there shouldn’t be an issue, and if there is the devs respond a lot i’m sure they’d help you
@@wanderbots Yeah, devs have tweeted about how people are making false claims using SoundCloud. Really scummy
Wait Did @wanderbots Never play JSRF he doesnt seem to say it at all lol
I said that I haven't played JSRF at the start of the video. I should, but there are so many other games to get through first.
Canti from FLCL
more!
move to philly wonder
Are you playing on PC ?
@wanderbots Sweet 👍🏾. I've been playing on Nintendo Switch 😀... May I ask what the max resolution and fps is on PC? 🖥 💻 👀
JetSetRadio perquil
Unbelievably expensive for a indie game that's barron and empty and repetitive yeah super cool 😂
How is this game barron and empty? Sure objects and props might be spread out in the big open area of versum hill, but that is *one* area of one map of 7 maps in total
And this game is not repetitive in the slightest
Source: I have played through the entire game to the ending and then some and had a blast the whole time
@@aftdawn i got bored after the second area the phone in game was just all done before and cumbersome, i was just not impressed at all bugs aside that's forgivable but im glad you enjoyed it was just a huge disappointment for me considering its meant to be a spiritual successors to jet set radio. :')
I still love how the devs asked the fans to make graffiti for the game and you can even see the writer's name on the phone. Team reptile's goated.
fr I'm so surprised that my fav artist got on there and not only do they made sick ass graffitis they also voiced come of the characters 😭
