- OUT NOW - Abbey Road One: Thematic Horns 🎉
From the wistful main theme of Braveheart to the thunderous horn section in The Batman original theme, the horn has proven to be the irreplaceable heart of orchestral scoring.
The first of our film scoring selections to feature two legatos, Thematic Horns captures the most essential ingredient to successful orchestral scoring; that vivid, relentlessly pertinent sound of eight horns performed in the unmistakable acoustics of Abbey Road’s Studio One. Thematic Horns further enriches the available offerings in the Abbey Road One orchestral range by commanding the forefront of instantly playable, instant cinema - from the moment you open the first patch.

I really want it to be called "Honky Horns". That would make me quite happy.
I’ll tell ya what…I studied horn at University of Michigan, with the late great Lowell Greer (he was such a freakin great man and helped me so much with my composition) I played in orchestras for years…
And THIS feels like me sitting right in the middle of the section of 8 horns.
And of course I hurried to get it.
I am a fan of this Abbey Road series. Please keep making more for it.
String/winds runs builders, so we can program Stravinsky Rite of Spring style passages. That’s all that’s missing
I never can say this too often; Spitfire Audio is the most brilliant sample library creator I have had the pleasure to work with. The SA plug-in is fantastic, and the sounds are spectacular, musical and easy to work with. The articulations are incredibly well done, and the use of expression and modulation is consistent--with the modulation accessing incredible timbres perfectly.
Recently, I needed to move the libraries to a new drive, and the process with Spitfire is incredibly easy, far easier than other libraries.
I knew it! Also would love to see an Abbey Road String Runs or Bombastic Percussion pack
i LOVE THESE SO MUCH
Sounds great! And here I go and buy my 10th brass library! :-))
The fact that I now can properly play Spiderman 3's Black Suit theme alone makes this a worthy purchase. The self amusement and meme power will be through the roof after this one.
Love watching your promos for new products. Great learning material and so representative of the instruments.
Paul Thomson is again, very excited 😂
This is exactly what I was waiting for... Fantastic!
I'm ready for a percussion selection to drop!
We desperetaly need legato horns (which they just gave us) and high strings , before anything else .. Also proper low brass legato would be nice
Man, i'm still waiting for a Full Orchestra library at Abbey Road just like you guys did with the BBC Orchestra. It would be awesome if you could also get Shawn Murphy on the team for mixing and recording the orchestra!
Looking forward to this !!!
Individual instrument sections with Legato? Maybe? Please?
1:30 Performance Leg
2:24 Lyrical Leg
Sound is pure iconic
Thank for your hard work spitfire team , this sound amazing, never to many horn samples!
The shorts are amazing on it, oh boy so much for savings this summer.
This is true
Great presentation, I will add this to my AR toolbox for sure.
O my word, excellent positive perfect sound.
Sounds great 👍
Awesome. What strings were used in your demo track?
it's funny that everyone is always like "omg whats it gonna be" when they post pictures of the instrument all over social media. This time it's going to be horns :)
Of course not everyone looks at or uses social media , so your irony will be lost on many …good day 🙏🏿🙏
@@desoconnor7445 doesn't UA-cam at least kind of count as social media? But I do get what you're saying. Not everyone is following every post from SA on FB and IG and who knows where else.
High strings pls.
Finally some big horns! Legato strings next?
Right on time 🙏🏿🙏👏🎩🦄
Nice!
Instant buy for me
guessing EPIC BRASS
I can not wait for Spitfire’s Abbey Road One: 808
so this is just for softer passages? cause i cant hear any mf or ff especially in these legato patch
First off, such a delicious pack! I'm sure I'll get it soon. For the polyphonic patches, how likely would people use any of those patches for chordal things? I know it isn't "realistic" to have 24 horns banging away at chords, but is that something that people would reach for?
Film and trailer music isn't about being necessarily realistic..often about sounding big, and that would sound BIG!
Can't wait!!! 🎼🎵🎶🎹
can’t wait:/
What's this time , percussion?
Any im excited
If the complete Abbey Road will now be sold for less than 500, I’d buy it all, but since it is not going to happen, I will have to wait and save money 😞😭
Love the video and the Plugin! Can you play the Jurassic Park theme with this? It would be GREAT!!
Somebody said horns? Where is the buy button?! 😅 sounds amazing!!

I love Spitifire products. But this one sounds so much similar to my "BBC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Horns a4" patch. I'll keep my $49.
This one sounds like it has more sizzle and a clearer tone overall. And the very short articulation is useful. But yeah , not sure if I wanna spend 49 on it
They sound great for sure, but let me first, get more familiar with my new BBCSO !!!! or send it for free, I'd love that 😁
quite a bit of white noise annoying ! can you reduce its noise floor or roll it off say 1050Hz.
No solo horn so even with the current 40% discount it's not worth it. 50% discount and I'll consider it but with no solo horn it's not for me.
They do sound wonderful. Firstly, Do most of the articulations respond to pitchbend? Because horns, moreso than any other orchestral instrument, don't play in 12-equal. They skew toward just, and sometimes tune their chords very close to just. If these can only be played in 12-equal, I'm simply not interested. Secondly, can the Tenuto and Marcato be shortened in some way (preferably by letting go of the key) for faster tempos than they were played in so you don't get overlapping notes?
Legato sounds like 2 dynamic layers in the piano-mezzoforte (maybe a polite forte) range. Spitfire level resources + THE hall with THAT sound, and this is the result? Seems like a wasted opportunity. The legato itself sounds good, though. Agile and no sucking effect.
I can agree w most of this comment. But wouldn’t call it a wasted opportunity. They do go up to quite brassy sounding. Could they have gone for more “quivre”? Sure.
I mean they have a great dignified sound but still stop at just forte. No fortissimo or cuivre top-of-the-modwheel for that moment of extra melodic domination. I'll stick with BBCSO and Infinite Brass.
👎Guess who's offering discounts ONLY to new customers. If you've already bought some stuff from SA, they refuse to give the discount. 👎
就这?
Nope!
