Your ground wire should never be a smaller guage than your power wire...but good job on putting this info out on your work...what battery did you get exactly?
Oh really..... Well thanks I appreciate the input.... I did ask a couple of people who work in shops they said because of the distance in my application.... It won't really matter.... The power wire is not gonna open up as much as it would if it was like say 4 or 5 feet as long as I go no less that 8 gauge I would be good
@@TheMasterkiller24 I also work in the audio industry (a looooong time) and with the amount of items you have going on matching your ground wire to your power wire is important for optimum efficiency as well as safety. I had one person a long while back learn the hard way when his ground wire literally melted due to the strain put on it and it almost damaged his entire system,I would atleast put the same size ground if you dont one size go larger ,Here is a good read from kicker on the big 3 upgrades and why www.kicker.com/app/misc/support/tech/tech_papers/docs/PowerWireAndTheBig3Upgrade.pdf Again this is not to insult your build as it seems very good and I like your eye for detail. You have even given me ideas on somethings to do to a few bikes including mine.
Great point but I'm running to independent ground wires to the factory frame ground spots the ground wire for the battery is just for that and the rest of the stuff will run on another ground wire still on the main frame spot to provent a ground loop all together...... Been there with the ground loop 🤦🏿♂️ 🔫.... Not to mention my system will not even touch my bike battery...... I will be running 3
@@RanGer-498 man I take absolutely no insult... I appreciate all advise and info... And because I would rather cover all my bases I went out and change the ground wire..... LoL... I would hate to have any issues and have to come back to that and find out that was the problem...... Much love brutha 🔥 💯
@@TheMasterkiller24 I'm glad, I was in no way attempting to insult you ..again I love how detailed you are in so many ways I honestly wished you made more videos ,any how keep up the great work cant wait till your next vid.

What is the part number of the battery you ended up using?
Once you do the mod you can use any standard size Harley battery
What battery are you running for the upgrade
I'm gonna be using the Braille battery
