I use two PENN INTERNATIONAL 16VS reels strapped on two PENN INTERNATIONAL Stand-up V 50-100# 6' rods and one PENN INTERNATIONAL 12T 2 speed, converted and blueprinted by Cal's strapped on a PENN Bluewater Carnage 50-100# 6'-6" rod! My favorite rod and reel setup is my 12T and Bluewater carnage! Mahalo for watching! Aloha
Thats great that you are getting out and feeling comfortable out BTB! I really don't think about sharks when i'm out until I see one cruising around, but they usually just cruise on by and go there own way. I like to use live bait, if not I am stuck dragging dead bait (scads) My FF is my huge advantage on finding live bait and finding the ledges that might hold bigger fish, I normally use my FF to find the fish that I catch. I hate waiting for fish to find me. lol
Thank you! I keep all my catches in a fish bag filled with ice inside of my hull, larger fish over 80 pounds I have to paddle it back in on my lap because it won't fit through my hatch. aloha
Watup Rob. Finally went BTB out to the oil rigs off the coast of TX. I went out in a Hobie Mirage Outback 13. Sweet ride. Fishing was so so but it was a real experience for me. I was surprisingly comfortable out there. The whole fear of the big shark thing wore off in about 5 minutes. I was wondering if you would comment on what you used to catch this tuna bait and rig wise. How does your fish finder help overall in the yak? Do you find the fish or do they find you? Mahalo!

400-500 yards from land, but about a mile and a half from where I launch.
AWESOME videos bro! One question: Where do you keep the fish on board?
What kind of video camera are you using for the wide angle shots? Great Vids dude. Keep chasing tail!

Ever encounter sharks out there?
I do, not all the time and they normally don't get to frisky. Although a 15' tiger still does make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up lol

This is the most cliché Hawaiian fishing video lol. Slippahs, horrible Jawaiian music, sunglasses with rasta color. Nice catch tho! 🐟
