I definitely agree with the rap comment but Twice has over 20 Korean and 20 Japanese mv's and they almost always have a little rap part for the rappers. So I look at it not as 'does the song need it' but 'it's in the Twice formula that people love' so I'm kind of expecting it. Great song overall and the choreo looks very cool.
The rap is there as the bridge, so that it will hype up the last chorus. so whether you use a rap or a normal bridge, it will slow down the song anyway. Also, for any kpop song. when you have a rap, there will be people not liking it, but if you do not put in a rap, there will also be people disliking it. You cannot satisfy everyone.
I agree that the rap part is there as the bridge before the last chorus 'coz usually, Twice puts their rap after the 1st chorus or 2nd verse. Nonetheless, I like it 'coz they're finally giving Momo more rap since she's also part of the line.

Now I really wanna know the interpretation for all😅 Nayeon - escaping the pressure of walls closing in and choosing to walk her own path Jeongyeon - breaking free from pressure of constantly being watched Momo - taking control by being behind the camera Sana - breaking free from the pressure of beauty standards Mina - feeling trapped and being able to be free to speak for her own Jihyo - breaking free from societal standards of how she must look and act as an idol Dahyun - being confident and walking through the chaos Chaeyoung - painting a different picture and literally flying away Tzuyu - burning the strings thats binding her on keeping a certain idol image These are beautiful and reminds me so much of some of their other title track songs like Perfect World, Fake and True and especially Feel Special who have personal meanings for each member!
I agree with the rap part comment! Many of Twice's B-sides don't include raps and they are just so good! I mean for songs like Moonlight, Sunrise the rap makes so much sense, but some songs... we can do without. For this one though, I'm kinda on the fence. 😆 By the way, appreciate the honest opinion!
