Thank the tiki gods for this woman. Her dedication to tradition is everything.
So thrilled to hear my track used in the Tonga Hut episode! One of my favorite tiki bars in LA.
We love this cut! Thanks again for contributing to the success of this show!
Where can I find this track? it's great!
The Tiki Show returns! Very happy to see this. I had a blurry evening at the Tonga Hut in 97.
Marie was kind enough to make me her Italian zombie one evening when I asked her to make me something she liked. I loved it. Very delicious! Glad Tonga Hut is getting back on its feet here. I wish them the best of luck!
She’s amazing
About time!!! Woo hooo!!!
I loved this video! The style, music, everything.
We appreciate you greatly!
That drooling bastard statue is honestly one of my favorite tiki icons. It's just so effing adorable and hilarious.
Great to see this channel back!
Great video. Also thanks for the recipe. I whipped up a batch!

awesome show! I’ve got a couple mugs from there.
Thanks very much for this wonderful interview. Can't wait to hang at the bar
It was so great to meet Marie at the Miami Rum Congress. She is so knowledgeable!
This lady is too cool. Great storyteller. I love Tiki stuff.
This was amazing! Thanks Marie for the tour and thank you Jim for sharing with us
I am sipping the Italian Zombie right now. Made it at home. HOLY SMOKES!! Amazing. This is incredibly well balanced.
Great show/feature. Marie is definitely one of the persons you want leading education of what Tiki should be.
I was living in Long Beach CA and drove down PCH one day and saw that a closed Tiki restaurant had reopened as Don the Beachcomber's! I was lucky enough to have dinner there. It was fabulous of course! I even went to the one in Hollywood when I was in my 20s. I'll be in LA soon and I'm heading to the Tonga Hut!
Outstanding! I'm hoping to visit in July!
great episode! I'm looking forward to visiting the Tonga Hut someday soon.
I'm fascinated with vintage tiki history and cult
Bravo! We need to come by and visit soon. Well done. Cheers.
I see my plaque “Von Ballz” what a great accomplishment.
May the Tiki Bar continue for many years, and the South Seas background music is a must.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. GREAT VIDEO AND A GREAT EDUCATION. THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I LEARNED SO MUCH.
Fantastic video. I had the pleasure of visiting a couple years back and enjoyed every minute. The videography is excellent and I loved hearing the story of the Tonga Hut! Can't wait to make the Italian Zombie.
Very nice. Wish I had known about it when I was last in LA.
Marie is THE coolest chick. Loved the video + the history lesson.
Great! Very well made
I was pleased to visit this place about 10 years ago (?) ... great to see its surviving the storm of generations!
The zombie I ordered tasted like old gasoline lol but I had a great time none the less .
TIKI RENNISANCE!!!
I need to go again. I’ve only been once. And when I went I was ignored and treated as unwelcome. Watching this makes me want to go and give it a try again.
Where did your channel go? I love everything tiki and enjoyed your videos.
Great to see your face lady!! Miss you and Murph, hope all is well with you guys!
This is a really great watch nicely done !
Man, what I wouldn't give to be able to live in that apartment complex if it were still around!
This looks fantastic ❤️❤️❤️
I must visit
she is so delightful!
OMG. I have almost that exact same enameled-steel conical fireplace. Same color, even. My parents had it in a mountain cabin in Pinetop, AZ. Loved it. When they started renting it out, the realtor made them put in a Ben Franklin stove. We took the orange fireplace back to Tucson. Still have it. Did you know the color gets Cherry Red when it's overheated?
Those fireplaces were iconic and ubiquitous at ski resorts and ski vacation homes (usual A-frames) across the upper lake states - Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the U.P. of Michigan in the late 1960’s thru mid 70’s. As a kid I wanted one bad in our house. Unfortunately it wasn’t my parents choice of decor lol - “hell no” yells my dad. Ha ha ha.
I want that T-shirt!!!!
Wicked
My favorite bar! Tasting through the Grog Log was one of my favorite explorations of flavor and it was fun getting to know the bartenders. Check it out as soon as you can!
Great video. love Marie!
Great episode! I wanna give them credit for doing a great job of adapting to Covid protocols and creating a fun and safe space outside that I will miss if it ever goes away. Viva Tiger Lounge! Cheers!
Make America Tiki Again.
SUGGESTION: ATOMIC RANCH MAGAZINE!!!
You can take a whole year now to get a plaque?! When it started you had to do it in a Month!! I tried but i couldnt drink That much.
Awesome video! Love that glass also. Do you happen to know the name of that glass or where to get it? Would love to pick some up!
✨👍✨
The challenge should be to drink all of the Grog Log drinks in a month!
Ven Tiki, Ventura CA, has a similar drink challenge of about 80 drinks. Prize is a fez hat. Anyway, each day a woman would do 4 drinks at lunch, go home and sleep and then come back and do four drinks in the afternoon. I think she took a few days off, but finished the challenge in about two weeks. A little crazy, but an Impressive feat.
TALOFA! That's ''Aloha'' in Tongan... Nice lady. The sound is out of sync with the picture, somehow. But I stuck it out for the cool story.
Craaazy! Stoked you enjoy the show. We will get there one day. It's on the must visit list!
Just think 🤔 I was two years old 🫠to young to drink 😬
XD
Any new Episodes soon ?
I thought the logo was of Derek Art
It is Derek! He's a long time friend of ours.
Is the channel permanently dormant?
Nah we make these when we can as we are a team of pros making this show for free just for the love and when things line up. The mission is to do what we can when we can for the art.
if you guys need help with film production, id like to help any way I can.
Where's Lala
I think you are thinking of TIKi Bar TV with the doctor and Lala.
Ooooh we miss that show too. Wish it was still around.
I don't drink, but I wish I did, just to visit this place. ❤❤
More and more Tiki establishments are adopting non alcoholic options for their menus. Exotic escapism is for everyone.
@@The-Tiki-Showknow of any such establishments in SoCal?
@@cruisinusa5110 Try the Royal Hawaiian in Laguna and tell em you want a booze free tiki drink. I'm sure they'll accommodate the ask. I know trader Vics and Don The beachcomber both now have well made non alcoholic drinks.
