As a longtime fan of the Disney movie "The Sword in the Stone" I consider a decent wizard an important part of a fantasy castle world. Majisto shows that LEGO doesn´t need expensive licensing contracts to add legendary characters and elements to their scenarios.
RIGHT!! I agree, every fantasy world needs a good wizard! Also so true! Like Lego made amazing worlds with out having to get all these IP themes! I’m working on videos about the pirate world right now and there is so much crazy world building in that theme! But they don’t focus on that any more
@@BrickingUpBrad I agree that TLG's non-IP worlds are great but oh boy The Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge are beautiful ships. Also I like Silent Mary and the pirate ship from The Return of the King. And Pirates is only my third favorite theme.
For the “honorable mentions” list, how about the build a minifig blue wizard? I ended up coupling his body/legs with the head/beard/hat of Majisto in the recent castle. I didn’t like how the majisto they gave us didn’t have any detailing, but now it looks perfect!
The bam figure was definitely perfect torso and legs to give to the majisto in the castle. Only reason I didn’t add him is because I was only giving ones that come from sets
The next spaceport will be futuron but I’m taking the month of July to do harbor master which is the pirates version of this! After that I will be going back and forth between space and castle!
Dragon Masters will always be my favorite Lego faction /subtheme. Everything about it is iconic, from the flame piece they introduced, to Majisto, to the green alligator dragon. The cloth flags and capes are great as well. I really hope that rumored Majisto's Workshop GWP is real.
Ahh!! The Dark Dragon's Den set was the first Lego Castle set my brothers had growing up that was shamefully pinched by me for my own collection. What a brilliant figure Majisto (definitely Merlin here in the UK!) is. This series is great by the way Brad!

Great video! I’d add the hologram Merlin guy from Nexo Knights. To me, that’s the reference he’s making in the quote in Lion Knight’s Castle instructions, something about that it’s nice to be back in a physical body, if I remember correctly.

When I looked up the specific character and unique robe print, it appears to be Merlok I guess. Not familiar with that dude, but from the Nexo Knights Wiki - Merlok is the wizard protector of Knighton. He used to be a real-life wizard, but a magic blast dissolved his physical form and now he lives in the Fortrex computers as the sentient operating system Merlok 2.0. This is getting a bit too high tech for me to comprehend. lol!
Is Majisto good or evil? Depends on what side you are. If you are a child in the Dragon Knights village he is your hero. If you are a child in the Royal Knights village he is a monster. Is he a lover of the witch? Sure. Are they cusins? Sure. That is why we have Orcs.
could you make a in-universe-timeline? Wher happend what. Like the new lion knights castle is decades after the older than the storrys from the sets from the 90s.

As a huge GOT fan, I am totally behind Majisto dating his cousin. Also you left out Merlock out on purposem didn't you? The Figure Merlock is the best update for Majisto I've seen, even if you don't like Nexo knights.
