@@thebronx-kr9ns Very true, but that industry gave way to residential and commercial development many years ago and we still maintain a plantation system of drainage and irrigation. All we did was to asphalt some of the dams and build house. Our infrastructure need an upgrade.

Guyana is six feet under sea level that is why there is so many canals trenches sidelines and kokers it is to drain the land .
