Adopting my FIRST EVER puppy!

- On Sunday I went to PawSafe animal Shelter in Eastford Connecticut to look for a puppy. I fell in love with this dog on their website so when I got there I asked them if he was still there, and he sure was! He came right up to me and rubbed all over and licked all over. I knew this was the one! I named him Teeqo (tee-co)
I’ve spent the last 4 days learning everything about owning a dog, and doing everything for the first time with him. He definitely has made it easy for me, I think I lucked out with a quiet dog 🤞🏻 I am so happy with him and he’s gonna be my little side kick forever!

My girlfriend and I have six dogs and they really do enrich our lives. I’m excited for you, for this sweet pup, and for every dog you decide to get from here on out. It’s nice to hear more people hopping on the dog ownership train. Best of luck man.
Always try and bring something to protect yourself from stray animals when going on walks. If you’re a new owner it will shock you how quickly some undisciplined dogs will walk right up and start trying to attack your pup simply for existing. But I hope you guys only ever know peace and happiness.

In case nobody told you puppies are a lot of work, but totally worth it. They go through a teenager phase from 6 months to 2 years also known as the velociraptor phase this is the toughest time but if you get through it you get a great dog on the other side.
I’m here for all of it!😂 Can’t wait to see him grow
