The thing about LLTG is the story, director, the stars, and cast surrounding either or both Zisheng and Shaoshang. The emperor himself is a character beyond compare. It is a love story with sizzling chemistry, interspersed with comedy, drama, intrigue, swordfights and bloody revenge. This is the formula that made both 星漢燦爛 and 月升滄海 (parts 1 & 2 respectively) succeed so beautifully. I think they need a another great script that will have potential for another big hit, with a better ending. Childhood friends that become lovers as they come of age possibly is good, but needs an overall great story and and another great cast. Modern stories are all good, no objections. Usually they are shorter. But let it not be formulaic, or tropes done before. A mysterious guy is always a plus as long as he is misunderstood but actually a good person, and the person who draws him out of his shell is the FL.
I would really love for them to have a drama again together, but not as tragic as LLTG. Although Lusi and Chen had a a very good chemistry in Hidden Love, and they seemed so sweet in the BTS, I still prefer Wu Lei for Lusi. They are just perfect for me.
i read somewhere that Wu Lei was offered ML in Forbidden God but he did not take it. it’s a pity. I think he is always very good in action dramas & China’s classical & historical dramas.
Love Like the Galaxy is their second collaboration. First collaboration is 2021 The Long Ballad. They had few scenes together as he was paired with Dilraba and she was paired with Liu Yuning.
I hope they doing this drama I cannot wait to see them together again plz bring back WULU couple
