- Got a VISA gift card for Christmas or as a gift? Want to be able to move the full or remaining balance to your Amazon account so you can easily use it online? In this video I will show you how to move the money from your VISA debit gift card over to your Amazon account gift card balance so you can use with whenever you need to. This is a really effective way to use those cards to shop on Amazon.

Hey, just wanted to inform y'all that another possibily for it not going through is that you have to account for holds that certain companies do. For American Express there was a ten cent hold so I couldn't reload $50 straight. But when I tried $49.50 it went through.

FYI, this did not work for me, until I registered my card. Registering is different than activating, as it verifies your address. So if anyone is having trouble, you might try that. Worked like a charm! Thank you!

Almost used a scam website but you can do it by calling the number on the card or go to website on the card

Oh my GOSH!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! I watched like 10 videos trying to figure out how to use a virtual Visa card from fetch on store websites that don’t let you split payments because the item was $28 but my virtual visa was $25! Thank you for making this video!! I added it to Amazon just like you said with no problems and I’ll just use it on Amazon instead. 🥳🎉

I had to come and leave a comment! I literally had TEN gift cards with little balances like $1-$8 on them! They added up to $60, but, I had no idea how to combine them.
Googled and your video was so easy and straightforward, I didnt even finish the video before I tried it, lol!
Just know that Amazon will not let you add more than 7 cards at a time. I had to wait 2 hours to add the others, but, who cares?? I was able to use that money that has been sitting at the bottom of a drawer!

I just knew there had to be a way to get all of those tiny balances off of my collection of mostly used gift cards!!! I added several cards one at a time and watched my balance go up. Just the solution I was looking for. Thank you soooo much. 🙂

This was super helpful! I had a collection of Visa gift cards with small balances on them. I did discover that Amazon's minimum purchase is $.50, so my gift card with only $.25 was unable to be redeemed. But, not that big of a deal. I followed the clear instructions and voila, I now have a gift card balance on my Amazon account!
Nice, glad it was helpful and yeah I think there is a fee amazon has to pay for card processing so below a certain amount it doesn't make sense for them.

Thanks! I had a pre-paid debit card and could not figure out how to use the $10.57 on it without finding exactly $10.57 of items. Buying an Amazon gift card for $10.57 fixed my problem. (I had already registered the gift card as a payment method, so I could now use it to buy the gift card) You might put "Pre-paid debit card" as part of your title so search will find it for everyone else.

AMAZING!!!! I received a gift card and it was damaged. The CVV number was etched out and the only way around it was to request a new gift card which would take 7-10 days. Since I use Amazon on there regular, this was a no brainer.

Hello brother Tech Tip Guru! Just one question ,Do i need to activate the gift card first from their website before doing your tutorials? Thanks in advance.
Most gift cards like this don't need activated as they are activated once purchased, but if for some reason yours does then yeah you'd have to make sure the card is active for purchases before doing this.

Is there anything that can be done with expired ones? I have a few of those as well.

I am not sure if the debit card has expired, I know typically it will say the card expires but not the funds, however I've never looked to see what you do if the funds expire, usually the cards have a website you can log in to, you may try logging in and see if it has a way to access the funds or a send a new card with a updated expiration date.
