I have realised that a lot of kirby and touhou songs are musically very similar, ignoring instruments. They use a lot of similar chord progressions and construct melodies in the same kind of way, for example.
I noticed the similarities a while back... I think a lot of it has to do with 3 main elements: a catchy melody set over rapid-fire arpeggios supplemented by a driving but (usually) not overstated rock beat.
I was just listening to Lunar Night’s take on Love Colored Master Spark and thought it had a bit of Kirby music DNA spliced into it, funny to see someone connect the two more directly
