Ys you are right, till now in my village they following this tradition when girl reaches puberty.. and we enjoyed those days, i also add some boiled milk in that puttu for extraordinary taste! 😊

yeah thats a nice idea. usually here in USA, the whole coconut is not good. so we buy frozen or desiccated. But your idea of adding chopped fried coconut adds more flavor. Thanks for sharing
Say rice as raw rice for begginners, then only they will know, and also say what kind of rawrice will be good for this dish, saappaattu raw rice or maavu rawrice, or ponni raw rice, or ir20 raw rice
