      @@dasylviaonu. Uche tried but she didn`t get everything. She`s lost touch with Awka. I went to Unizik. Again, Enugu and Ebonyi people are the major WAWA(ie NO) people but , from Awka through Enugu and up to Abakaliki, they all speak wawa. You can`t enjoy Awka without using words like these; "ELEE(like this)", "IKAA(here)", "ELE-ANWU(like that)", "NEEHU(there)", "VHA VHA(now now)", " etc.

    This noise from generator is doing the justice. But I’m so happy I’m going to learn. Im South African and love Igbo language not that I’m married to Igbo Man but I have a lot of Igbo friends.

    Waawa is used to describe people from the old Enugu State which includes some parts of Ebonyi state because in our dialect Waawa means NO.

    Is it just me or is Awka sounding like Enugu dilect? I've always felt that the major difference between Akwa and Onitsha dialects is the 'V' for Awka and 'F' in Onitsha.

    I am Originally from Enugu, but I find out that awka people share the same pronunciation with our own part in Enugu, example'' using V and J but still yet,Enugu has many languages spoken in it and we have general language that I can speak very well. But we have the same meaning though.

      Agbaja people. Following chief onyeama n’eke. In Eke town Udi LGA. He said wa, meaning no, wawa means no no to the onitsha king trying to be the head of the Igbo chief council meeting/forum. Ezeagu says uwa’o or mba. Ezeagu was part of Udi before it creation.
