Hey Oliver, I’m from the U.S, I’m junior planning on graduating a year early to pursue mechatronic engineering but there are only 4 abet accredited universities in the U.S that have mechatronic engineering but it’s in bachelors of science instead of bachelors of engineering, is there a significant difference between the 2 where it would affect getting a job ln the future ???

    holy cow
excellent video- good vibes, loved the little robot compilation at the end
also, controlling this thing looks like it takes guitarist-level finger control abilities

Lol, it's definitely not super easy to control, so we're making it a bonus mark if the students can actually pick something up successfully.

It looks like the roll on the accelerometer is very sensitive. Have you thought about mapping it so that it requires a greater roll for the same rotation?
You can also add a tolerance so that the arm stays in one spot unless you rotate your hand a certain amount of degrees, so that it doesn’t rotate if you keep your hand relatively still

Thanks for the suggestions, we had discussed thresholds, but I'll see if I can add them to make it a little smoother.

Hey Oliver! I am a 2nd year student of mechatronics, I have an idea for my project, I want to start doing it now. I'm interested to know your opinion, and what would you recommend me to study for this?
    Idea:
    1. There is need to be a metal box, box is assembled from 5 pieces, they are welded. SolidWorks has a model, it has these 5 parts and an assembly (assembled box model).
    2. We load 5 pieces and an assembly (this model and work process) into an industrial robot.
    3. We already have 5 parts on the table, the robot can recognize them and put them together and weld them with a laser.
    4. There is no programming here, the robot has a camera that can recognize the part.
    5. You can change the model, load the robot with a new one, put new parts and it can pick it up again and assemble, it is adaptive industrial robot.
In my opinion, this will spread automation not only in large, but also in small factories, because the robot will not have to be programmed and reconfigured for a specific part for a long time, it can be quickly set up and launched.

this looks so interesting cant wait to try out robotics atm learning coding like c++ also during your internship did you have to learn something you did not learn in school? how ready did your school prepare you for your field of work?

    Oliver a question for you
Which one is best which one is better in any classification ( Pay, Scope, Trend etc..)
a Mechanical Engineer with a Masters in Mechatronics or an Electrical Engineer with Masters in Mechatronics Engineer
    By the way great content.

Hey dude, can you please do a video on how to control 2 servo motors and one regular dc motor with an ir remote? Please? I've been looking the entire internet and I think you could really help me! Just comment back on this if you can! If you can, i will give a sub and thank you for my life!!! Thanks bud, and make sure its arduino un0 r3 THANKS!

For the servo motor there are hundreds of tutorials online, and there’s also an example code that ships with the arduino ide
For the dc motor you can connect one wire to ground, and the other to an analog input pin. From there you can either turn the motor on and off by using digital write , or you can use pwm for speed control with analog write, if you need direction, look into an hbridge.
You’ll have to do some research on your own for these kinds of things, people aren’t just going to show you everything in s video

I'm currently on internship, so I won't be making this money next year, but I can tell you it works out to between 50,000 - 70,000 CAD / year
