The original Puzzle Bobble was released in Japan only in June 1994 on Taito's B System, and internationally in December 1994 on SNK's Neo Geo MVS which is the version we all know and love. Puzzle Bobble is also known as Bust-a-Move in North America.

It's amazing how in my mind it looked much less "synthetic" than it it's. It's been decades since I've heard it last time, maybe my mind "improved" it over time.

This theme is beyond close to my heart... it's been with me literally my entire life. My mother used to play this game when she was pregnant with me to get over morning sickness.they say at one point I would kick to the melody. Since then I still find time to sit down and play this game be it with my mother or just alone. I have to say it is somewhere in my top favorite games ever same goes with this theme. So nostalgic...

@Myster key, back in the day Pizza Huts tended to have 2-3 arcade machines in them. The ones where I live had Mortal Kombat 2 in them, with the blood turned off of course. Godfather's Pizza had Mortal Kombat 1.....with blood turned off as well, truly disappointing.

I remember when my mom did unfinished laundry at the coin laundromat place in Temple City Ca back in late 90s and there was an video game arcade and this game was there and metal slug. My dad had spare change and play puzzle bobble and he put some spare change for me to play metal slug 1. Gosh thats over 20 years ago!!!! Oh the memories and I remember the music the most.

every Neogeo cabinet in L.A. county had/has: Puzzle Bobble, a Metal Slug, a King of Fighters, and Super Sidekicks.

I used to play a disc full of game demos on my PS1 when I was little and there was a Puzzle Bobble demo on it. It only had a few levels, but I'm played them over and over again all the time and the song was a large part of the reason I did. I miss those simple times.
The bubble bobble theme couldn’t be topped for its infectiousness. Then came “bust a move.” Best themes ever.

This song haunted my childhood and cost me so many game wins. I'd be on the final Street Fighter boss and this would come on and loop, making me lose because it broke my damn concentration. This was in every arcade. Still is in alot of them around here. It's like I can't get this theme out of my head for good.
