This is one of the vehicles i would want to have in the zombie apocalypse honestly. Reliable, easy to work on, comfortable, and a lot of room. Spartan gas tanks makes a 30 gal gas tank for these. (Made for long distance/desert state troopers back in the day) I think they claim 489miles on a single tank.
OK..My daughter goes to ISU and I live up in the Capital city and own a 2008 P71 from Boise City PD and this was the first video I am looking at to lift the Vic. I love BFG KO2''s but would entertain something for less money. I have a set of 16" wheels from a 2006 and the 17" that came with the 2008. I still have the mounting for the front push bar..so yes you need lights and a push bar up front.
Just lifted mine yesterday, getting the alignment done tomorrow. Bought the same kit you got but didn’t end up using it, just replaced with OEM parts from different vehicles.
@@kylearizona8553 shocks from the rear of a F250 and either explorer struts and expedition coil overs(with the old tops put on) or explorer coil over and expedition struts.
I did the same lift on my 2008 CVPI except I used Ford Police Expedition springs on the rear and it was completely worth it. I can't believe how good the action shots you have in this video, they were really impressive!!!!
@@kylearizona8553 I believe it was an 2007 to 2010 expedition and I originally used them without the spacers which was stiff enough but not quite as tall as I wanted so I use the spacers with the Springs later.
It does look like a real beast !!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate when they sag in the back and look like they are going to hit the ground. Yours looks just perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. In Australia we had the WB Holden I believe the sedan and wagon had monocoque but the Ute and panel van were seperate chassis in the same model that was 1980 ish after that we had choice of commodore or falcon both monocoque.
bro put a roof rack on it, exhaust for sure and maybe some off road lights and flashing amber and red or white lights! but I do love the way it looks bro.
Yes yes it is. I need to lift my Grand marquis these cars are soooo much fun. Ford cancelled them because they realized that people could just lift the panther chassis cars and have a better crossover car with out costing 60-70k
How are the stock front shocks doing while jumping? Does is hop After the landing? Do you know some coilovers for the front that can handle going offroad?(maybe still with the lift kit spacers to keep the suspention soft)
We have a 4x4 Silverado, if needed, but it does not ride like a Crown Vic. For flying down dirt roads out in the desert or exploring old logging or mining roads, this is the more enjoyable ride. Look at the vehicles that win the big cross country off-road races like the Baja 1000. A lot of them are two-wheel drive. When you're flying along at 60 mph over the pot holes and bumps, you don't need four-wheel-drive.
As the owner of a CVPI myself, I absolutely DIG this lift you've put on your '04!

I just searched and couldn't find anything regarding a 30 gal tank?
Just got a Vic too want to make vids like this this is where the views come innnnn we will rise with our Vic’s brotherrrrr

i live in the Isu area actually and i went pretty cheap on the tires just because of my highschooler budget but they are 245/75/r16s
Sick Vic ! Straight pipe , skid plate , wrap around push bar would be badass on it
Bro that’s so cool I wanna do that plus a tall 6 foot antannae on the truck for a Cb

Huh very interesting didn’t even think of that
What year is your vic and what parts did you use?
What parts from what vehicles?

How much lift did that give you?

What year expedition? You just replaced the springs without the spacers in the rear?

Probably the best video reviewing a lifted crown vic. Love it! Wish I could have seen that jump at normal speed. Haha

As a proud owner of 3, 2005 crown Vic's, I approve this video.
MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL IN THE NAME OF JESUS BECOME DISCIPLES OF CHRIST AND BELIEVE
Listen to what Flowmaster Super 10’s sound like on these 4.6 motors. Just music to the ears and the perfect compliment to the lift
"3 inches is a lot" lmao
I’ll try to do my Crown Vic like this but I can’t find the 3 inch spacers you put in the front
Gambler 500 is in your future ⚡⚡
I think maybe some half inch wheel spacers would be pretty badass widen that track up a bit
I have 26 inch rims on my Vic with 3 inch lift. Next is exhaust and thicker tires.
This thing is so ridiculous and so cool at the same time 😂👍
I’m in Australia and would like to know if the crown Vic is the only sedan with a seperate chassis?
The Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car were all built on the Panther platform which is body on frame.
Chevy made body on frame Impala, Caprice until 1996 , I believe the last 2 door Caprice was built in 1987 . ( I have 4 two door cars 1977 -81 )

“3 inches. That’s a lot..” 😂
Do you gotta put the life kit on it for 20 in. rims? I like it what else have you done
I got 255/75/17 on my lifted crown vic and i didn't cut or smash 😢 but im using 2inch wheel spacer
Di you have any problems with alignment? Any issues?
Yes yes it is. I need to lift my Grand marquis these cars are soooo much fun. Ford cancelled them because they realized that people could just lift the panther chassis cars and have a better crossover car with out costing 60-70k
So awesome!! Vics rule!
Been trying to get my struts in with the 2in spacers, any tips.
I would have liked to have seen the lifted car before you changed the tires. I need to do this to my uber cv due to all the speed bumps in Chicago.
What u do to get it to turn all the way left and right without rubbing
I just had to hammer the metal back as seen ion the video.

The stock suspension does fine after jumps and i couldnt tell you about good coil overs
Hi guys! What a gear ratio you have on this crown vic? I guess 4.10, right?
Whatever came stock . I never changed anything.
If its stock its 3.27
Ready for Moab!!!!
What coil spring compressor you use ? Any link to similar one ?
i didn’t compress my springs
1 inch drop worth it
3inch lift worth it
All depends on what you want to do
How was the alignment after the lift?
fine but i still took it to go get it aligned
Put the push bar and a roof rack on
Get a marty tune..and upgrade the rear end 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
what yr shocks from f150
1997
Didn’t see any need for the lift. I don’t hit anything while off roading mine not lifted
Make it more off road remove front and rear bumper but a skid plate, muffler delete
definitely not better that before, much slower for sure lol
A little slower off the line, but I just entered a Rally race and beat every RWD by 6 seconds on a 2 minute course. This baby flies.
Too bad it's not a 4X4 !

While looking like a child.....grow your beard. Thank you for this unique video
