Not on a race track fool, ask the race car drivers at motoring, nascar, F1 you never let any opponents pass you. You will do everything to be in first place. The Audi is doing it safe.

Something i really need to change about my attitude when going on the Nurburgring. Because i only do like 15 to 20 laps a year 3 or 4 a day, i want all those laps to be fun and decently quick and if you get something to happen like with the audi i'm a bit disappointed. But in reality i shouldn't be, i'm driving the greatest track in the world and such a small thing can be resolved by just backing down a bit and get some clear road ahead again. things i need to work on.

@@stubones I think he was as fast as he could be. TTRS is super fast (for a Golf) but has virtually no aero compared to GT3RS or 675LT. Mechanical grip can only take you so far. I wonder what kind of person the driver is in his non-driving life. If his diving is anything to go by - he's probably a real dickhead. On the other hand - this kind of aggressive and inconsiderate driving style is pretty common on German roads...
The TT guy was lucky because it was unknown guy in GT3 RS and cool Robert with lots of patience behind him. If it was Tim in GT2 RS MR, Fabien in M4 Team Schirmer or any known fast driver like Kuba or taxi driver especially from Merc, the TT guy could be pressure/push hard from the back by them, worst case got sudden overtake during the straight or right before entering the corner. When that happens, hopefully you are good enough to control your car back to your line or else you’ll end up on the green or at the fence. Believe it or not, it’s happened before.

Just a mesmerizing lap to watch, the symphony of all three cars is just amazing to spectate! I agree the Audi driver should have moved out of the way but that also gave us a perfect example of how to drive the ring, like Robert did. Keep ego out of it even if others are slower, there are no prizes to be won except for a ride with a recovery truck. Great composure by both Robert and the Porsche driver!
It's nice to see some relaxed laps sometimes. Makes me wanna go do some chill laps after a bad day at work (because we all know going hard when your not focused is bad)

I don't think people understand just how fast a 680 bhp TTRS is, they're absolute monsters, this isn't an everyday TT, it's a bloody rocket ship! Down the straights the LT wasn't any faster, there were a few straights the RS actually moved away. I understand track etiquette but but sometimes a "lesser" car isn't actually less than....

When you have several people catching up on you you need to realize that they are catching up for a reason, they're simply faster than you. When robert was passing him after the lap you could see him looking at robert, grinning, and probably thinking like "yeah, i'm the man, you couldn't get past me because i'm that good" while the reality is that both the GT3 RS and the Mclaren couldn't get past him because he was behaving like an absolute moron. Should've taken his TT on the autobahn instead. That's where he belongs.
Robert has probably the two best spec 675LT's ever made and its a testament to what McLaren can do but just have refused to do in recent years. Maybe the 765LT will be the difference and have the same reliability as the 675LT but out of the gate that car was special.
Best example why driving with a roofless car on the nürburgring makes sense, sometimes. On the one hand the TT sounds gorgeous, on the other hand it reminds me of the guys on a bicicle and one of them is making engine sounds with a trumpet.
At 8:16 you could see a choppy image when the TTRS was taking a slow left turn bend. Must be the side effects of that 60fps camera when viewing from a distance

Your advice is always spot-on regarding the Ring (both of you). I feel the Audi driver did give you the opportunity to pass him from 6:03 to 6:07 in the vid, What I would have done is shown him the nose of the Mclaren in line with his wing mirror by 6:03. and the Audi would have braked to let you through, 6:02.+ his foot is fully off the throttle, Robert then does the same which is when the blue nose should have been shown. After watching him for 6 minutes it's obvious what the Audi driver is up to, he wants to know if indeed he is faster than a Mclaren? bearing in mind that he can't hear what the engine in the Mclaren is doing, he can only hear that intoxicating 5pot sound which has done something to his brain, after probably watching every video on TY that has Walter Rohrl or Michele Mouton in the driving seat. I can hear exactly what his right foot is doing at all times by the gorgeous sound which probably has 500+bhp, by 6:03 the deflated "racing driver wannabe" and his much loved Audi give up and pulls over expecting Robert to pass but doesn't so thunders on. Glad though as the Porsche gets involved and the sound is stunning. Great content, more of the same, please
Keep in mind he actually was full throttle when he put on his blinker. Also at hatzenbach I put the nose in for the pass abs he swung in and almost took it off. W drivers like you then are nervous the rest of the lap.
