Calendar Strategy and Meeting Management

​Being the gatekeeper and the wrangler of the Founder and/or Leadership Team often comes with the territory as Chief of Staff. To be effective in these areas, you must deeply understand the priorities of your Principal and have a calendar strategy in place to focus their time. If you can crack the code on keeping your leaders focused, you will successfully position them to achieve their goals and role model focus and accountability to the rest of the organization. On April 4th, we're excited to host Michelle Banham, Chief of Staff at Offsite and former 15yr+ Senior Executive Assistant to founders and CEOs, to share with us the strategy she deployed for a 15 person Executive Team at a Series B EdTech startup that was stuck in the back to back meeting culture.

Michelle has deep experience leading cross-functional projects from end-to-end. She has cleared the path for leaders to focus on their strategic vision for over 15 years (partnering with leaders at Stanley Black + Decker, Fairmont Hotels/Accor, Toronto Pearson International Airport, etc). As CoS for Offsite, she grew the team from 3 to 23 colleagues in under 7 months, supported their $2M Seed fundraise, while building foundational SOPs to prepare the company for growth. Prior to that, Michelle supported the CEO of Prodigy, an Ed-Tech company, during a period of hyper growth (pre + post Series B investment, scaling a team of 150 to 500 in a year), ran the data room for their $152MM series B fundraise and grew the administrative team. She's looking forward to earning a Mini-MBA from Schulich School of Business in the Fall.
