+michael malone Well, in all fairness, you really should know how to solve a regular 3x3 before moving onto this. If you do, you could probably learn everything you need to know in the first 5 minutes of this video, like me, for example.
+Brosef yeah I could easily get to he second layer using my 3x3 method, but I was having troubles with the last layer. This video really helped with that
LOOOOOL your comment is hilarious but to be honest it's better than just improvising the four steps without any further explanation, that'd be useless uno.
Hi Noah, props to you for sharing yr cubing passion on the net with this very detailed presentation. I find the side-by-side comparative demonstration between the two very helpful. But FWIW, this mirror cube should not be attempted by first-timers who aren't familiar with the standard 3 by 3; for even veteran big cube enthusiasts like myself, it did take me some time to figure out the very odd shape configuration maneuvering. I bet the list of algorithms you posted here would put most maiden cubers to sleep:-) ... but hey, no pain no gain! ... as some would liken it to attaining virginal orgasm when finish solving it for the first time.
My brother back in my 6th grade year scrambled this cube up and I hate him for it. I am going into my junior year of high school and finally my OCD is calmed. I fixed it!
BRo i understand everything else but for people who know how to solve a rubiks cube it would be easy to do the corners first then fixing the edges of second layer Using the same two algorithms that are used in rubiks cube i found that much easy for myself rather then remembering the 20 different algorithms on a puzzle that is already way more confusing for a new person
+Noah Richardson u turned it all so nice and easy like once and its done... I did the first step for legit 30 min and cant solve it. I can do other step but the first step stuck
You made this way more complicated than it needed to be. After you build your cross, just insert the corners like a 3x3, insert your edges like a 3x3, then do your last later like a 3x3. Why do your edges first, then do some strange algorithm?
Leeoh Oh still! In F2L you put both in at the same time in the fastest possible, when he put the edge in he does extra moves which are not necessary, he makes it seem alot harder than it is
That was challenging, I did not think it would be any more difficult than the common 3x3x3 cube but it is a lot more complected than that, thanks a bunch Noah Richardson, with out you I would have never solved it. :D
It's surprising that mirror cube actually helped me to understand all algorithms for regular 3x3x3 cube. I guess shapes explain things more clear than colors.
