As a cashier its so much easier/faster to weigh the items if the items are in there own bag. But at end of the day saving bags is good
the best and safest ant spray is ms meyer's room spray in basil scent. it's not made for killing ants, but it kills them on contact, keeps them away for weeks, smells nice and is safe for pets and children. love your videos! you're the best!

Dawn power spray also kills fruit flies on contact. I use a mixture of rubbing alcohol, distilled water, and peppermint oil as an ant and spider spray.
One day at the checkout, a cashier who seemed maybe 18 years old, held up my bunch of basil, made a "stinky" face and asked, "Eeew, what's this?" I said, "It's fresh basil. I love the smell of fresh basil. If I could put it in a bottle and wear it like perfume, I would!" Well, now I guess I can spray myself with Miss Meyer's basil-scented room spray AND keep ants away!
Best and safest way to get rid of ants is cinnamon, cinnamon sticks and basil leaves. Place cinnamon on outside door or any entryways as barrier. Also cinnamon sticks and oregano leaves in kitchen. If you have a lot of ants use cinnamon along kitchen counter back wall. Every summer I do this and no longer get ants

I had a sneaky a$$ squirrel digging in my deck flower boxes so I sprayed some peppermint oil on the top rail of the deck and on the dirt. It worked! The squirrel aka tree rat hasn't been back!

The banana code I actually said out loud the same time Vivian. My husband heard me from the living room and asked me “WHY you saying the banana code thing?” Yah he knows it too.
Fruit and vegetables sells by weight most of the time. That little bar code sticker on the fruit and veggies is for store inventory counting. Most grocery stores has scale built-in into the Lazer scanner they scan the code and set the bag on the scale. You wouldn't want 0.50a lb of bananas in a bag of squash selling $1.99a lb.
That's why you tie the bag with enough space to hover it & not scan 2 things.
take out the bag, scan/weigh fruits by type. doesn't have to end up theft. lol
Part of my family owns a grocery store it also helps the cashiers when things are in their bags they can move faster.

Essential oils don't mean safe for pets. Quite the opposite in a lot of cases.
Exactly! Plus there's some essential oils safe for dogs that are toxic for cats. And peppermint isn't safe for either.

@@ApohMay Yup, most are toxic for cats. Their bodies just can't process them so they can accumulate in their livers and reach toxic levels pretty quickly.

Wasps and Hornets hate peppermint. I use it around hummingbird feeders and it keeps them from chasing away the hummingbirds FYI. Love all your UA-cam videos.
Peppermint is also supposed to repell mice, if anyone has a problem with them and not just bugs!

Hi everyone, I live in beautiful Newfoundland, Canada. We use those veggie bags when we cook “Jiggs dinner” ( all veggies in the pot with some salt beef…yum). We put carrots in a bag, turnip in another, potatoes in another etc. it’s awesome when it’s time to take veggies out of the pot. Do anyone else use them for this purpose. I also use them to put bones in to boil to make broth, makes it so much easier. Love your channel, my husband even enjoys it. Keep up the awesome content, your the best😀😀
And just throw them in the washer to clean them, I put them in some hot water before I add the veggies again though.

Nuh uh Vivian! You member you tested the Cottonelle ones? Those are made of thick paper and they are THE ONLY ones that will dissolve. I still watch almost every video you put out...unless its recap. Your personality is so shiny.
I use one a day and they do dissolve, and they will take off waterproof mascara

I purchased both of the bug spray’s and it took care of the ants. I sprayed them along the baseboards. Can’t use them anymore since I can’t remember where I put them. So now I use ZEVO bug spray. It works great and it states right on the front of the bottle that it’s safe for use around people and pets.
The sanitation department in my city says the ONLY thing that should be flushed down the toilet is toilet paper. They say not to flush paper towels, facial tissues, flushable wipes, or feminine hygiene products. They can stop up your pipes in your home, but they also can cause blockages in the city sewer system.

I have used peppermint oil water and it does work! Keeps bees, mosquitoes and wasps away as well.
I would use those veggie bags for bath or pool toys. Many years ago the dollar store had lime green mesh bags and that’s what I use them for.
My husband is a plumber and he agrees 100% and he also tells people if it doesn’t completely dissolve in water, don’t flush it!!! Also, don’t use liquid plumber because it burns the plumbers skin when they have to come over and remove the clogs or replace the pipes that are eaten away from the liquid plumber

Hey Vic, next spring plant Marigold’s all around your house. Ant’s won’t come with in two feet of your house. The smell of the flowers is a major deterrent.
The natural oils really do work to repel bugs and other pests. For years I've been using the essential oils, or even just scented oils, since I don't have pets or children. In fact, various ways of having scents around work winders - a jar of crushed garlic at DT works wonders outdoors!

My grandson thinks he has to have them. When he first started taking care of business he used a whole package and it stopped everything up in his parents new $750k house. We had to go rent a big roter rooter and now it is so bad my son in law bought a commercial roter rooter. And for my son in laws birthday he got to unclog the sewer.

NEVER FLUSH WIPES This is straight from my Uncle who does Septic work. Says a HUGE portion of his work is on Septic tanks that are clogged by "flushable" wipes.

I have been to the water treatment facility for a class field trip (college, Environmental Science trip). We saw the so-called flushable wipes...they don't break down. DO NOT flush them. They can cause a backup in the city sewer lines and then it's really bad.
Never, ever flush wipes, tampons, etc that say flushable. Toilet paper is enough to create some blockages per my plumber.
Peppermint is supposed to keep away mice & spiders....not sure if it really works! I use it in our barn but we still have mice!!

Waaaayy back in the day, grocery stores provided paper bags for produce.
We have to put them in individual bags, at least the ones we have to weigh. They watch you like a hawk if you try and put them in one bag. Lol
Please let us know how those net mesh bags hold up cuz I got some for bras at dt that didn't last after washing.
Always use flushable wipes, and flush them, have a septic tank, use ridex once a month. Septic needed flushed last year, no wipes but tampons! My septic is shared with 3 other units, only one who used ridex (lived with a septic before). Guess cotton and rayon doesn't dissolve like the wipes!!!

My Apartment Maintenance team finally had it, they were fixing & replacing so many toilets because of “Flushable Wipes” we will now be charged for labor, and parts if they come in to unclog/fix and they find those wipes! And they will! They “snake” the toilets. They don’t care what brand, they don’t care if ya think you know more lol After 2020, they’d had it! lol Also using those with low flow toilets omg… you’re begging to screw the toidy up! I’ve had more conversations with men lol about Toilets 😂

I never put my veggies in the same bag and I use those veggies bags in my van for trash..I also avoid self checkout at all cost I don't care how long the line is for the human, I'll wait..
Produce is put in separate bags because a lot is sold by weight and they're all different prices. Also, even within categories, there are different prices, ie: gala apples are a different price than granny smith. When customers come through my line with all their produce in one bag, I have to separate it so they are charged correctly. And reusable produce bags affect the weight of the item as the register scales aren't tared for them, so we have to take them out of those bags as well or you'll get charged slightly more. And yes, people will bitch over a penny difference.
