    ABOUT ME
I’m 31 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 600 breeding ewes.
I shore over 15,000 sheep this season in UK and I also travel to Norway for shearing in March and September. (Covid messed it up this year)
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on UA-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

Good to see you protecting your knees, Cammy. So many of the older shepherds here are all crippled up because of rams slamming into them, my policy has always been a mean ram makes the tastiest sausage. Of course, can't blame a ram that's cornered, but the one's who seek you out in the pasture/paddock are so dangerous. I appreciate all you videos, the entertainment factor of Mr. C is in every one.

We had 2 ram lambs, both came in as bottle babies, temperaments as différent as night and day, Thirsty tried at *4 months* to go up and use what horns he *didn't have* on the Mr. All 30 lbs of him...🙄🙃still no laughing matter but...
His fate was decided that day. Kept him long enough to sire A lamb(hopefully ewe- she was, a good big 'un!) from a ewe that we'd keep, if possible as another ewe for our Toby(who had never shown any tempérament issues, even after his stints as a working ram for our neighbours. They kept almost every ewe lamb back as replacements they liked them so much! Thirsty...well, différent story. As soon as he got hornymones, he changed. *But he tasted good!*

So I yelled at my dog to “La doon” yesterday and my husband laughed and said,
“What the heck was THAT???? You’ve been spending too much time watching your Scottish guy on UA-cam; you’re starting to sound like him” 😂 Thank you for the dog terminology explanation! It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by “jagging” the sheep. Great vid Cammie!

I'd like to see more videos like this. I'm just a city girl with a country heart. I like learning things that interest me. And this did the trick. Loved seeing the dogs working too.

I love this type of video.....
It's always great to watch you work with the sheep. For those of us who don't farm sheep, it's very educational. The dogs are fantastic.

I really enjoyed this! You got a workout there, across the field a couple times. Thanks for the lesson in commands to your dogs. Am so enjoying your yt channel.

Found you through Sandi Brock. It’s really interesting seeing two completely different ways of sheep farming. Looking forward to watching both your channels going forward. The thing that appears you have in common - you both love your sheep. I know nothing about sheep farming and look forward to being educated and entertained.

It makes me so happy to hear how you speak with your dogs and sheep, I wish all farmers connected with their animals this way.

Found your channel after seeing Sandi Brock mention you in one of her videos. She was also wearing one of your hats. So, I headed over and checked out some of your work. Your AWESOME! (And so is Sandi ofcourse)

Love watching your videos. Love the general day to day work as sometimes these are the best ones. Especially when it involves seeing how your stunning sheep are doing. Ps can't forget your beautiful son either, he's gonna look at you one day and see how hard you work and be so proud to have you as his dad and mum too. I hope you all have the most amazing first Christmas as a family of 3 😁
