i dont think i ever consider losing money in card game, because i will lose it anyway, im not expecting a return of investment in yugioh, dont treat the game as investment. the pulls rate is kinda similar to the ocg boxes we had here in asia, except probably the pack are more expensive in the west because inflations, which i knew you guys have more disposable income than us anyway.

I love how the Maliss archetype basically gave accesscode talker a girlfriend that with the right set up is am 8k beatstick and if accesscode nuked your opponent’s field while using hearts of crypter as one of the attributes he banished that’s a life point nuke with your opponent’s name written all over it

Love that they spelled it Ryu-Ge, people were pronouncing it Ryuge like [reeyuzh] but Ryu-Ge [reeyu-ji] makes much more sense as it means something along the lines of Dragon in japanese
It was already impossible to get a core in TCG "deck build sets" and this set made it even worse with the rarity upgrades. I was wanting to play Maliss because I love the idea of an archetype based on Alice in Wonderland, but being able to do so on a budget is just impossible. Looking at the set list Ryu-Ge is the budget as multiple engines and a single ultra for a pure version. Ryzeal has 5 and Maliss has the remaining 4. Also the Maliss cards are like this: is Pawn (main deck) is Code (traps) is Queen (extra deck) If you looked at the set description more, it says this when talking about the archetype.
They changed these side set to have 4 ultras per box opposed to 3 when they printed maze of millenia. Valiant smashers was the last set to have 3 ultras. Thank God

Konami putting rare reprints of cards that got mass reprints in the Rarity Collections & Bonanza (Allure, Time Thief) is the dumbest thing possible and shows just how out of touch this company is with their product releases. Also, once again, making ultras so archetype heavy with only 4 a box is just a slap to players. Also, they kept the Maliss art (leotards) but censor the exact same type of clothing on Dominus Impulse... I truly don't get their rhyme or reason. Oh, it's so they can cash in on LARTs later, how could I forget the greed?
it's 4 a box not counting collector rares. Yes I agree Konami is REALLY milking us and the reprints here a weak af but it's an improvement in overall build pack extensions.

I'm thinking back to how crazy it was when they gave Vanquish Soul a whopping SEVEN of the 10 ultras (Razen, Love, Borger, Caesar, Pantera, Stake, Rock) and you needed 3 Razen, 1-2 Love, 3 Borg, 2 Caesar, 3 Stake, 3 Rock, and 1 Pantera. That was incredibly difficult to build, even by trading because more often than not you'd find Panteras, Caesars, and Love but not Razen, Stake, Borg.
4 Ultras per box as opposed to 3 and CR does not replace UR is a decent move in the right direction. Would like to see more done with deck building sets but any improvements are welcome.

Reprints in deck build packs are to support the decks in the deck build pack, and Ryzeol plays Ouroboros. Also rares can also come as super rares from this set onwards in deck build packs

The P actually most likely stands for Pawn. It makes more sense as a chess reference, something plot relevant in Alice Through the Looking Glass. A Pawn, just like a Princess, has the capacity to become a Queen, which mirrors a plot point in Through the Looking Glass. As for the C, it being Chapter makes sense. Given that all of the codes are references to chapters in Alice, although it could also stand for Code. I'm not quite sure

(Yes Java and python are thing too I will not forget that) but basically it's a double meaning of P= point to direction as we also have link boss monsters. And C for coding but also scripting as in the story script or storyboard script of a book/novel etc. So summery : it's indicating that it's based on Alice in wonderland by script...but also a malware coding
It's a deck build pack, so it makes sense that there are a lot of reprints that synergize with the new archetypes. But it's definitely a waste of money to buy these, singles will be way cheaper especially if you already have the reprinted cards.
I’ve had my eye on Ryu Ge before the set got announce and the concept looks pretty cool when I watched a guide on them. That and Ryu Ge seems like the cheapest deck out of the three. I ain’t spending 500 on Ryzeal and 350 on Maliss. Gives me every reason to avoid meta decks 😅
Please Konami, your heart might be in the right place but we don't need rarity bumps, we just need accessible prints of cards we want. Give us Super Rares of the Ultra Rares, not the normal Rares...
Konami aren't stupid, they understand math. The fact you will now have to buy more boxes to even pull the Supers you need isn't an accident, it's the entire point.

Definitely, Ryzeals are going to take over, I would say, a good 40-60% of our meta but I'm all for Maliss. I believe that in the right hands that deck can be the best 🤷♂️ that might just be me tho

Definitely, Ryzeals are going to take over, I would say, a good 40-60% of our meta but I'm all for Maliss. I believe that in the right hands that deck can be the best 🤷♂️ that might just be me tho

The new multiple rarity system is awful. All it will do is cause the Super Rares from new archetypes to be almost as hard to pull as the Ultras.
