This was a dope interview. My opinion is that you hear more of the journey as well as struggle and work along the way. This felt more detailed than some of the other interviews.
Yeah episodes are easy when I talk to people i know
Your storytelling finesse is like a master chef, slow-cooking the narrative until it's just right, leaving viewers salivating for more. Your coaching just got Validation..From the archives to the present, your skills remain top-notch. KEEP DELIVERING DA FACT WHAT DA PPL NEED
Thank you for the kind words!
This interview hit home. I dont know many people or if any at all in any IT field. The information you find online will have you all over the place. Cybersecurity is what I want to do and I will brush up on all of my IT skills so I can get into cyber. Study A+ and Network+ and take security + exam. I also am completing the google cyber certificate. Ima keep listening to your interviews and keep pushing. I have no mentor or roadmap, but this is giving me more motivation to keep going. Thank you!
You got this bro 💪🏽
Thank you !
I have watched this video 4 times already. I really enjoy your conversation.

Great content! Keep up the good work!
Thanks man what did you take away from this episode?
@@TechTualChatterI took away how much I can relate to his start of his journey. I actually started working for Lowe’s and they paid for a IT Certificate that I decided to purse. Now I’m currently a IT Field Tech trying to transition into Cyber!
@beastalvarado228 nice man💪🏽
Hit the like button....there's lots and lots and lots and lots of nuggets in this interview😎
Listening to this channel is one of the things that helped me get ready for my Info Security Analyst interview....I ended up getting the job and love it. Yes everything he said is true especially with your first Cybersecurity job but follow what these guys are saying and you'll be golden 👍🏾

Amazing content!
Thanks George
Really appreciate the information. I have my trifecta and looking for my entry level gig. 🙏🏿
Great content
Thanks fam
This was pretty dope 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate you bro. What was your biggest takeaway
@TechTualChatter it requires constant work, and remembering the skillset development within the Tech space propells you forward into that desired salary. Networking and avocation from others on your behalf open up doors as well.
@@jeffu3248 great takeaways!
I want to get into cybersecurity so bad it’s just knowing I have to start at a low salary and I have a mortgage and. Wife and 3 kids. I currently make 88k as a mail carrier. Is it just something I have to go through as far as help desk or are there other things I can do to help polish me faster in the field?I’m open to all critiques lol.
You may not have to start off as at a super low salary, you jut have to have a strategic plan on getting into the field. There are some skills you have developed delivering mail that can help you out in this field.
Is that $88K with overtime? That’s a decent salary.
That’s a monster salary. You make more than most people in the military 😮
As a person who came from being a mailman to being in cybersecurity now, it was so worth the grind.
@@Slickrick33 that’s 🔥 bro
More a couple guys chillin than really informative.
Thanks for hating and commenting 🫵🏽
Amazing episode! I loved hearing Ricarlos’ journey. It’s very inspirational to see someone overcome some of the struggles I also have trying to get into cyber.
Would you recommend working at a MDR or MSSP to start out when looking for SOC/ Cybersecurity Analyst roles?
Honestly I recommend working wherever you can get experience from
Ok thank you!
I know this guy!!!
I wanted to get into to cyber security but ended up having to pivot into data analytics because I couldn't get a job. I'm wondering if I should stay in data or try to make the jump into cyber security. Now that I am in tech idk if that will work better for me.
They have security roles specifically in data analytics. You should look into it
I wish y’all could have thrown in how to get hands on skills while self studying the material
I have content on that
You just have to find it
I have my bachelors Degree in I.T and currently work a help desk job. I am going to get into cybersecurity
You came to the right place if you need help
@@TechTualChatter would Sec+ be a great first cert to start at?
@winorlose562 Depends on what you want to do
@@TechTualChatter thats what I need to figure out
So you help people get into it? I’m in a bachelor it program with wgu. I worry about getting a job and hoping to get one before graduation
Yes please check out the rest of the channel
I’m 18 in the military I’ve been watching you for a while man and planning on start school any recommendations I already have sec+ and planning on getting cysa I’ve been getting myself hands on with splunk and trying to become familiar with these things but and any certs you would recommend as well would really help
I did some episodes with some military people in the past
I need to make a playlist of it and tag you in it
@@TechTualChatterbet bro I really appreciate it
Please let him talk, he keeps getting cut off bro. Seems like you were getting interviewed.
Where did he get cut off?
Grabbing softwares to win business and not having anyone on staff that knows it. Now you’re on someone’s ass to learn it
Interesting comment
😂 😂 Bruh young af. He ain't know a damn thing about dragon ball, tryna act like he knows
❤️🤣🤣
Naw he just didn’t really watch it
@@TechTualChatter LMAOOOOO naw no excuses, you told him what a kamehameha and he still didn't know
@@wowitsjashon 🤣🤣
@TechTual you’re appreciated out here bro🤲🏾
Thanks my guy
Would please allow your guest to talk little more , I like you how put things together and your storytelling style but asking the right question and let the guest answer and elaborate makes the content greater and gives the audience much more insights and value out of it
Like what ??
This so foul a guy who rarely touched 🥲 a computer is senior soc analyst! I truly hate this industry! No hate on the brother thats just heart breaking
That was over 4 years ago… a lot can change in 4 years
