Reminds me of some years ago, when I was in so deep and realized the path I was on was completely unsustainable. Driving along I-10 through the desert every night so I could indulge in my distractions. I’d be listening to the Paper Kites and get this feeling of sweetness, as sorrowful as my situation was. That feeling of sweetness stopped when I realized I didn’t want to do it anymore.
Your some years ago sounds a lot like my today.

I got to a point in my life when i started to realize that i was the one truly hurting myself and putting myself through all that pain , and when i was on meth i remember talking to other people in active addiction and i saw how fucked up their life was and i remember saying in my head “i dont wanna go that way “

This one hooked me hard. Their music is so sublime. Even better than just listening is watching these amazing artists work as one. The videos were so well done. The expressions of the people in the audience says it all. Roadhouse will be in constant rotation.

I was trying to put my finger on it through the whole song of what this reminded me of and then it hit me like a train. It gives off such a strong feeling of Mazzy Star through and through from the melancholy sweetness to almost a bitter but hopeful sound. Such a good track
